Snake Print Boots With A Western Vibe
On this particular day that we shot these photos, you can’t really tell from the pictures, but it was really bad weather! It was on and off raining, the wind was constantly blowing so I was permanently holding onto my hat, and the light was bad. It’s frustrating on days like this when you have a shoot planned, but we persevered with it and found some shelter by the Bath Spa to take photos. I thought these pillars were actually a really beautiful backdrop for this look though, so that turned out lucky! I did have a cardigan with me for the chill as we walked around town (you can see a slow motion walk of this outfit here, under the slow mo highlight) but I liked the outfit better without it for the photos!
Speaking of my outfit, I was wearing a knitted tie front dress by Topshop in Black, which is actually really affordable as it was only £25 (I also own it in cream) and I paired it with my Topshop Snake Boots too! These are a faux snake printed leather, and actually incredibly comfortable. I’m really into the Western cowboy boot look at the moment, literally in love with it. These boots are currently on sale too with 20% off, so take advantage of that! I finished this look off with my Brixton Hat, to add to the Western vibe a bit more. I went without a bag for the outfit as the one I ordered (this one) hadn’t arrived yet, but I’m planning on wearing these boots again with the snake print bag!
I really do like how this outfit turned out, I adore the simple looks which you can add a bit more to with accessories and statement pieces. As an example, this outfit would look entirely different if I hadn’t worn the snake print boots and hat with it, which is why I love classic dresses like this as you can create numerous different ensembles with them. I’m thinking it might look nice with over the knee boots as well as my Alexander McQueen sneakers, perhaps a leather jacket over the top… Anyway, please do let me know what you think of this outfit on me! Lorna xx.

Thank you! And that is one section, that’s a spa pool behind there, but the actual spa is just over a little bit. Not the Roman Baths, but the actual Thermae spa you get treatments at.
You rock this cowboy look. Those boots certainly are a steal.

Such a cute little black dress and I love the statement boots with it! You’re so right, you could change the look of this so easily just by swapping the accessories.
I’m glad you managed to get pics despite the bad weather!
Hope that you are having a great weekend!

I love the hat and the dress. 🙂 You look quite tall in these shots actually, btw. I’m not hugely a fan of the boots though as snake (even fake snake) makes me a little nervous as I’m very scared of snakes… LOL Though, having said that, the boots are a lovely shape and style so it’s just the pattern that I have a little trouble with. 😉

Ha ha, yeah I remember you being afraid of snakes! I’m glad you still like it though, despite your phobia! Means a lot to me that you still look at the photos, ha ha.
I love this outfit! I really like how the simple pieces let the snake print boots stand out. And I agree that the pillars actually make a beautiful background for photos.
