A Maxi Denim Skirt With A Blazer And Boots
Happy May everyone! I’m back sharing another outfit post, this time with photos shot from the spring of last year! I totally forgot that I had these photos on my memory card and I never published them. How crazy is that? I loved this outfit when I wore it though, so I couldn’t wait to share it with you!
Denim maxi skirts with boots is a look that I was obsessed with last year, and the year before that. Dressing them up, or down, it’s such a statement piece that isn’t a pair of jeans. That’s what I love about them and why I own them in multiple colours. Denim maxi skirts weren’t a trend that stuck around for more than a couple of seasons, but since I don’t actually follow or abide by trends and I wear what I want, when I want, for me, they’re here to stay!
For this outfit, I wore my Stradivarious Denim Maxi Skirt (which you saw here) and I tucked a Zara Satin Black Cami Top into it, to elevate it. I then layered my Reiss Black Blazer over my shoulders to really pull this look together, so that it could balance out the statement that the DUO Freya Knee High Boots were making.
Light blue denim and black isn’t always a combination that works, as it can look too harsh, but as long as you get the fabrics and strength of the black right, it works perfectly in my opinion. I finished this look off with some dainty jewellery, my Celine Triomphe Belt and my DeMellier Tokyo Bag in Black. I think these black and gold accessories really help tie everything together. Very classy outfit. The black and light blue work well together. The hint of gold finishes it off perfectly. How is it May already?! And how do you forget about photos? You must take too many! 😂

Glad you like it 🙂 That’s the exact reason how! Taking too many at once and then taking more new ones quickly, leading me to forget about some that were from a shoot before. Plus I sometimes confuse sharing the outfit to Instagram with sharing it on my blog, lol.
Forgot or was your subconscious future planning for you? 🙂 You must have thousands of photos, I have no idea how you keep track of them and what you have posted where! That must be a full time job in itself!

Lorna, how could you have forgotten to post these photos where everything is to your advantage? The gorgeous long slit dress, the stunning black heeled boots, the extreme contrast of the two colors… and you, of course, still radiant with your singular beauty. Behind the mystery of the slit, a sublime pair of boots is revealed. I love so much the last photo to fully appreciate your entire feminity from head to toes, boots in this case… and the height of your heels worn of course. Please, do not change anything Lorna…
