The Burgundy Sequin Trousers Outfit
We’re getting closer to Christmas! It’s only 16 days away! I can’t believe how quickly it’s creeping up on us now! I love this time of the year, though, when all of the Christmas lights are up, everything looks festive and so much fun, and the Christmas market is in full swing.
I love hearing the Christmas songs on the radio and watching Christmas movies all throughout December, too. Even when the weather has been this hideous, there’s something about it that just makes me happy. I’ve actually decorated my room for Christmas this time around – I even have some Stranger Things lights around my ceiling!
Getting to this outfit, I’m wearing something festive and sparkly again – perfect for this time of year! This is something you could wear on Christmas Day or out to a Christmas party or New Year’s Eve event. It’s mixing a little casual element with some elevation from the sequins, so let’s get to what I was wearing.
These Sequin Trousers are by New Look in a Dark Burgundy colour. They are super comfortable as they are stretch, pull-on trousers with a flared silhouette. They move with your body and are very similar to leggings actually, so they’re definitely a pair you could wear all night and not feel restricted.
I paired them with another New Look item, a Dark Burgundy Satin Long Sleeve Shirt, that matches perfectly with the colour of the sequin trousers – so it’s a perfect combination. Again, this shirt is super comfy, but it does run a little small, so I had to size up in it. There’s something about this purple burgundy shade that’s just so pretty at this time of the year.
To finish off the outfit, I opted for my Gianvito Rossi Gold Boots and my Mulberry Lily Bag in Gold. I chose gold as my accessory pieces as I think it’s such a Christmasy colour and it really pops against the burgundy tones. Plus, gold is metallic, and that plays off the sparkle from the sequins nicely. I do think silver would work as well, but the warmth from the gold tone is just right for me.

Burgundy seems to be your colour this season, I can see why it’s gorgeous. Annoyed they split the final season up, but so excited for the finale!

I do love burgundy though, always have! It’s one of my favourite winter shades!
Worth the crazy long wait for it to return! It was so good! I’ve not seen anything this good for a while. That’s just the first part, I can’t imagine what they have planned for the next part! 🤯 I’ve never wanted Boxing Day to come round this fast before! 😂 Even then it’s not the end!

I know! Same! It should be amazing, but I hope they don’t go too far! Some shows can make things a bit far fetched and over the top, when simplicity is key!
You’re giving me flash backs from season 2 now! 🙁 I know what you mean, I’ve seen good shows ruined too. I did worry when I saw who they brought back (trying to not give spoilers in case someone reading has not seen it), but surely they have learnt their lesson from season 2….I hope. 🤞

I’m currently re-watching season 2, and I was dissapointed at first as I remembered it to be an annoying series, but so far, up to episode 7, it’s not that bad, not like I remembered lol.
Interesting. I’ve only watched it once. Maybe the negativity around it since has influenced my judgement. Sounds like I need to rewatch it. It has been 8 years since it came out! I do remember the start of Steve and Dustin’s friendship being a great part in season 2!

I did rewatch it! Thank you for getting me to do it. You’re right, it was so much better than I remembered. My brain had fixated on the one episode where 11 ran away and make it into so much more. I remember fearing they were going to start adding more people with abilities and turn it into almost a superhero series. I get Elevens leaving now, she wanted to understand herself and where she came from and maybe a little rebellious teen! I had forgotten the ending with the ball. That was brilliant. 🙂 Have you heard there is a “real” WSQK digital radio station broadcasting at the moment? All 80s music, it’s brilliant!

I’m on season 3 now and that one is difficult, lol! Not a fan. Don’t re-watch that! I didn’t know there was a radio station though, I’ll have to check that out! Especially if it’s all 80’s! 😀
I wondered if you were doing a full rewatch. I do remember series 3 being a bit odd with the Russians. Wasn’t sure about their inclusion. It did introduce Robin and I like her character and friendship with Steve, they’re great together. Yeah you should, it really well done, I’m hooked! It’s on digital radio and Global player.
