A Navy Dress In Lacock Village
I have some more photos from last summer, which again, I never got around to editing because I was planning on making a whole Lacock blog post. But as it turns out, if I make something too much of a task, I tend to keep putting it off, and it never gets done. It just feels too overwhelming and daunting in my current situation. Do any of you feel like that?
I did meet the Queen (Queen Camilla) while we were at Lacock here, as she was celebrating an anniversary at the primary school she used to attend there, as she’s from Lacock. I did share videos of that on my Instagram. That was quite a day! And so random too. We had no idea she was there!
Christen and I have been to Lacock about 3-4 times now. It’s not too far away from Bath, and it’s absolutely stunning! Each time we have visited Lacock Abbey, which is where they filmed some parts of Harry Potter. It’s just gorgeous! I think I shared some pictures of it before in this blog post. If you ever get a chance to go there, I highly recommend it as the village is so old and quaint! It’s also always fun seeing the areas that were used to film famous movies, including Professor Slughorn’s house!
For this outfit, I was wearing my Hollister Navy Floral Dress that I was living in all of last year! It was so comfortable! I layered my Hollister Cropped Denim Jacket over the top of it, too. I considered this quite a casual outfit, which is why I also wore my Puma Palermo Lilac Trainers/Sneakers, and finished it off with my Mulberry Small Lana Bag in Eggshell White, which I always use as my go-to travel bag. It’s been with me through everything as it’s so functional, easy to use, and white goes with every outfit there is! I also had my Mulberry Sunglasses on that I picked up at the outlet in Shepton Mallet. I adore these so much!
Now, as you can see, I also have a couple of photos with Christen! He was wearing a Blue Floral Allsaints Viscose Shirt, which he paired with some American Eagle Black Shorts and some Nike Sneakers. This was pretty much his go-to summer travel outfit! Practical, but fun! To finish it off, he was also wearing his Ray-Ban Aviator Sunglasses, which are prescription.
I think most of these pieces that I am wearing are sold out and no longer available, as they were from a year ago. I would of course love to know what you think of my outfit though, and if any of you have been to Lacock before!

Thank you so much! He does love England!
And so do I! Just wish I could be there. 🏴🏴🏴❤️❤️❤️
I know that feeling! I can’t make something into a job, I just have to get on with it before I realise! This time it’s not a bad thing as we get more blog posts! 🙂
Amazing you got to meet the Queen! Could there have been a more English experience for Christen than meeting the Queen in a small English village?
You two always look great together and dress to compliment each other and not compete. Your dress and his shirt work really well together. Love the denim jacket over the dress, classic casual look. The sunglasses really suit you, such a great shape for your face.

I am always really impressed with your fine eye for detail and styling, Robert! 😀 You know your stuff! That’s exactly what we go for!
And I know, that was such an English experience for him! I don’t think you could top that, unless she was offering out scones and tea, ha ha.
Thank you! I’ve always noticed the little details in things, it’s a blessing and a curse! 😂 It’s the details that elevate an outfit and make it special.
Ha ha! Yes and it being at a village fete! 🙂 I’m sure the Queen has people to hand out scones for her though!
