My New Embossed Cambridge Satchel in Honeysuckle

A few weeks ago, I purchased this gorgeous Cambridge Satchel in Honeysuckle from the Cambridge Satchel website. I already own two Cambridge Satchels, one in Vintage Brown and the other in Wine Matte, so this now makes my third. I hadn’t ever seen this Honeysuckle colour before, until I came across it on the website. As soon as I saw it, I fell completely in love with it! It was inspired by the Chelsea Flower Show and the gorgeous tones that you see amongst the flowers. I’m not usually the type of person that wears a huge amount of orange, but I just thought this amazing shade of orange was gorgeous! In person, the Honeysuckle colour is a lot like the orange tulips you can get. It’s got that perfect spring/summer floral tone to it, with a pastel depth.

Since Cambridge Satchel first came on the scene, I really wanted to get a neon pink one with my initials LB embossed in silver, however I never ended up buying the neon pink purely because I didn’t think it would be entirely practical. I decided to get my initials embossed on this Honeysuckle Cambridge Satchel though and I opted for gold. I think the metallic gold really compliments the pastel orange and I am finally happy to have a Cambridge Satchel that’s embossed! I did purchase the 11″ satchel as I find that’s the perfect size for me, it’s the smallest that the brand do, but it’s a great size for me!

I haven’t yet had chance to wear this gorgeous bag as I haven’t worn an outfit that would match with the Honeysuckle colour, but I soon will and I can’t wait! I saw online that another blogger owns this beautiful satchel as well, and her photos are gorgeous! She posted the bag with orange tulips next to it and it looks amazing! If you love this satchel too, you can purchase it online at the Cambridge Satchel Company website here. Also, if you are interested, I actually interviewed Julie Deane, the founder of the company, a while back, so you can read that interview here and find out more about the company! What do you think of my new Cambridge Satchel? Do you like it?

Sorry, I haven’t used mine enough to notice any cracks. How often do you use yours?

I use it a couple of times a week. It’s only at the straps to close it. I guess it will be less visisble with a dark colour…I’ll take a picture in the morning…

Oh the straps on the buckle, that would probably be wear from where they rub against the metal constantly and are bent as well, those buckle straps are bent and rubbed a lot during use, I think that’s the natural wear and tear of leather from use.

Oh yeah that’s cracked a lot, but I’m sure it’s because of what I said in my comment.

Lovely bag! I’m thinking of getting one on cream crocus. I’m not sure what to do with the embossing! Is there a space between the letters of yours?

Yeah there is a space between the letters, I’m not sure if you mean a big space or not though? You can see how they are positioned on the photo of the embossing, hopefully that helps! You can have what you want though, you can put dots between the letters too!

I just don’t want my initials to be too close or too far away, that’s why I wanted to know if you put a ‘space’ betwen the letters of yours or if that the ‘natural space’ of the embossing (english is not my mother language, sorry about that)

Oh you mean when typing in the box on the website? Yes I put a space if I remember correctly. I think I wrote it like L B as they said to type it exactly how you want it.
