(Dress – Exact, Shoes – Exact & Similar, Ring – Similar, Watch – Similar)
When Fever London contacted me and asked me if I wanted to be a part of their new styling campaign, I got incredibly excited. It’s something different for me and out of my usual comfort zone, which is why I was more than happy to do it so that I could do something new and fun! They specialise in gorgeous vintage inspired dresses, which isn’t something I would normally wear, and they do it incredibly well! This is going to be a three part series because I’m styling this Hollis pencil dress in red in three different ways; work, evening and casual.
So, this is the look that I came up with first and it was work inspired. I don’t have a briefcase or a big tote that I would take to work as you know blogging is my full time job and I work from home, however I thought it might be fun to have a book with me as part of this outfit as I read a lot. This would definitely be something you could wear to the office too though! Work dresses come in all sorts of variations and I think this one mixes the perfect amount of sophistication with vibrancy to look beautiful. Initially I wasn’t sure on this style of dress, but after trying it on, I completely fell in love with it. I think it’s so pretty and it’s actually really flattering. As I’m quite small, it does come up really long on me, almost below my knees, so I did a little modification to it and shortened it so it suits my frame more.
I paired the red dress with my Christian Louboutin Pigalle shoes, my Olivia Burton butterfly watch and my Butler & Wilson lips ring. I wanted to keep everything simple and sleek to make sure it was suitable for office wear and I think it turned out ok. If you own a Fever London dress already then your luck is in! The brand is hosting a contest at the moment where you snap photos of yourself in a Fever London outfit and include #WearingFever when you upload it! They will be choosing a winner at the end of the month after the closing date on the 2nd June. Definitely get involved if you have one of their pretty dresses!
