Rebecca Minkoff Denim Love Cross Body Bag

I’m sure all of you know by now that my weakness is denim. Being a denim blogger, I am obsessed with it to the point of owning around 450 pairs of jeans (the last time I counted) in all different fits, washes, weights, styles and more, but I don’t only love denim in jeans, I love it in all sorts of things. This is why when I saw that Rebecca Minkoff had designed her famous Love Cross Body Bag in denim, I literally fell off my seat! What more could I ask for? I was hoping it might come in the mini size (it now does!) if I’m being picky, but I actually love this size more than I thought I would! Isn’t it stunning?!

The bag itself is around 9.75 inches in length, 5.5 inches in height and has a depth of about 3.25 inches, making it quite a decent size for everything you want to carry. It has a really cool black and white floral printed lining too, for those of you wondering. I always love the different linings that Rebecca Minkoff uses and the different prints on the dust bags, so if you are interested in that too, this one comes with a satin navy dust bag, which looks really nice.

Getting to the fabric, it’s got quilted denim on the front and plain denim on the back, all of which is encased in navy leather trims and details. These colours really compliment each other so well! The Love Cross Body also features a silver twist lock fastening and a secret slip pocket on the back of the bag. It has a 2 pocket interior and a silver metal chain strap adorned with navy leather at the top, for your shoulder. I was worried about the weight of this bag since I’m not really very good with heaviness on my shoulders, which is why I mostly go for smaller bags, but as this is made of up mostly denim, it lessened the otherwise classic Love Cross Body weight to only 28oz which makes it fine for me.

As soon as I got this bag I couldn’t wait to take it out and I’ve already shot outfit photos with it (this is a mini preview of my look) which I can’t wait to share with you. I am literally obsessed with this bag right now and from one denim lover to another, it’s definitely worth owning! It’s an easy way to do the double denim trend or even triple denim if you want to! I’m a reader from Germany (Berlin to be exact) and i really love your blog! I’ve found it randomly and now i visit it at least once a week since 2013. Thank you for all your inspiring posts and the beautyful Pictures. I really love everything you style around or with denim – i am working with Kids so i really live in denim. It would be great if you could do a review about a g-star skinny jeans one day…I would be very interested about your thoughts regarding this brand.

I’ve actually reviewed a pair of G-Star skinny jeans a few years ago, two pairs of them actually in grey and dark indigo. I’m not a huge, huge fan of the brand as they are quite heavily branded and the denim is thicker, but in terms of fit, the skinny jeans are nice on the butt and the legs!     I think your rollneck-sweater looks really great, especially paired against the “dark” black. (as opposed to the washed-out black jeans we see everywhere at the moment…).
    As springtime is just around the Corner, i would like to know what kind of jeans do you suggest for the warmer season? My salary only allows me to “splurge” on premium denim once in a while, so this will be a great help from you. Would you suggest a pair of boyfriend Jeans? Or should i rather invest in a pair of raw hem-denim? My style is a mixture of classic and casual, sometimes with heels. I need a pair that is really versatile and with a “spring-friendly” wash…;)

      Hi! If you like raw hem and mid blue washes for Spring, I would probably say go with the raw hem 7FAM jeans or the AG raw jeans, both of these are pairs that I am madly in love with! They work really well! Boyfriend jeans are great too, but I do find them to have a limit in what you can wear them with without looking too sloppy. I think the Citizens of Humanity Corey are amazing though, as is the Paige Jimmy Jimmy so if you prefer boyfriend, go with those! Here are my choices below 🙂

450 pairs of jeans is an astonishingly impressive collection. 🙂 My own personal obsession is Doctor Who. So out of curiosity after reading your statistic I’ve just tried to count up my Doctor Who collection and reached 422 items so far… LOL

Jeans have got to take up far more space than DVDs, books and CDs though so I’m just curious as to how you manage to store them all. 🙂

  Oh wow! I do like Doctor Who as well, the show is great! That’s a pretty impressive collection you have yourself! As for storage, I have them in tubs under the bed, in drawers, in special units I have specifically for them, in piles and literally everywhere lol! They are all over the place!

That is a super cute version of the love bag! I kinda want it…..I have one in the grey leather and I really like it, I got it for my birthday last year. I should have looked harder and asked for the denim option instead, hehe! 🙂 Looks really fun 🙂

I’m amazed you have so many jeans – luck you! I love denim, but it’s not always easy finding the right pair that fits and looks good and meets the budget 😉

I have yet to own any Rebecca Minkoff bags but I really want to soon! The designs are always fun and chic, I feel the same for Kate Spade. What a gorgeous bag, that is such a great addition to your wardrobe.

Thanks for pointing out this bag. I just bought it from the Rebecca Minkoff site. They have it in the mini size now too. I think denim is so gorgeous and enigmatic. I’m obsessed too with everything denim. But nowhere like your knowledge and love for it. I really admire how you know absolutely so much about the shades and cuts and fabrics. It’s inspiring.
