Playful & Fun Spring Outfit Inspiration

alice-mccall-spring-outfit

So, Spring is here and I couldn’t be more excited! I love the transitional season as it’s all about pastels and florals, making outfits really feminine, flirty and fun! I thought it would be nice to do my Spring outfit inspiration with pieces from Alice McCall. I was recently introduced to the designer and her pieces are adorable! I love how cute they are, yet at the same time they are chic and sophisticated, making the outfits perfect for events or just day time wear with a flare.

Out of the two looks that I put together, I think the first one might be my favourite as it has a lot of print, colour, abstract fits and silky texture, making it quite young and girly. I don’t usually like to mix pink and red together, but for this outfit, it worked perfectly! There’s a choice of the top and skirt or dress, as well as two bags, so you can mix it up if you like! It reminded me a lot of something Blair from Atlantic Pacific would wear.

For the second look, I wanted to do something a little more mature and chic, which is why I went for pastel tones with this silk shirt and shorts, finished with the pastel pink cape coat. I then added a little more femininity to it with the tassel heels and accessories. I was inspired by some beautiful street style looks that I had seen on Vogue not that long ago for this one. I really do love both though! Which do you fashion bloggers like?

Oooh both outfits are great! I think the second outfit is a bit more my style- I love a crisp button up and a structured jacket.

So just letting you know that that pair of Levis I ordered arrived and… I LOVE them! I am so surprised with how much I like them. I haven’t had a chance to wear them out to work or anything like that so I don’t know how the shape will keep but so far SO GOOD. They have a very similar fit and feel to COH Axel Rocket skinnies that I love so much. The jeans are very soft, form fitting with stretch and very comfortable. The only difference is they are a medium rise not high rise. The wash is also gorgeous and they are true to size- I took my regular 25. Hopefully they’ll keep their shape and work out really well. But like I said, so far I just LOVE them! Woohoo!

Lorna, your love for denim is becoming infectuous (in the best possible way!)

Thank you! And yay! I’m so glad they worked out for you! They sound really nice! Let me know when you post photos of them as I would love to check that out! And I know, a denim addiction is pretty contagious and hard to control! When I first got into jeans I was unstoppable!
