My new JORD Wooden Cora Watch in Maple & Lavender
You probably already know just how much I love watches. I did a blog post on my watch collection last year, but I’ve since added a few more timepieces to that number. My latest addition is my JORD Wooden Cora Watch in Maple & Lavender. It’s unlike any other watch I’ve worn or seen before since it’s made of wood and that’s what drew me into working with the brand. Isn’t it just absolutely gorgeous? I love it!
The maple wood feels really nice to wear, you can see the beautiful grains in it and the best part is there’s no irritation on the skin at all. It complements the lavender pink dial perfectly and it makes it a watch to remember, that’s for sure. This watch features little crystals for some of the numbers and unlike most quartz watches where the second hand ticks, this one is actually automatic which means it doesn’t require batteries. The second hand motion is a smooth movement as it spins and it’s charged up by movement and winding, so as long as you keep wearing the watch, it will keep working. I was actually really surprised to find out that it was automatic though as I’m used to that on the expensive watch brands like Omega, so that just really adds more value to its price in my opinion. Since the back of the wooden watch is open, you can see all of the mechanics inside and watch the movements too, so it really is a fascinating piece.
This Cora wooden watch comes in a beautiful wooden box as well, with a sliding lid and engravings. Then inside, it’s wrapped around a pretty pillow so it just speaks quality and class from the packaging alone. I wasn’t familiar with JORD until a few months ago, but now I am more than happy to say that I have one of their beautiful watches sitting pretty on my wrist. I was originally stuck choosing between a burgundy wood or this maple wood, but I am glad that I chose this one as it’s nice and light on my arm. Very pretty indeed. It’s certainly a nice feature that the workings are visible on the back. I imagine that’s probably quite relaxing to watch as well as interesting? 🙂

Because I am facing eye/sight problems, I announced I would look at pictures… hope you forgive me! But I really loved this watch and I think it’s nice and feminine, with the pink display! And made out of wood? Wow! So impressive, a novelty! It’s also great because it’s neither too big, nor too small, so it would be good for me too – unfortunately, at the moment I can’t wear small watches, I would see nothing 🙂 So I loved it!

It’s great! It doesn’t irritate at all and I love that about it! I get so sensitive with things like wool or other materials, so I totally understand it.
