My Christmas Week Photo Diary

My Christmas Photo Diary

I thought it might be nice to share with you my week of Christmas. I don’t usually do this as I’m often busy with other blog posts around this time of year and maybe just quickly show some presents that I got, but as I spend the week with Adam leading up to Christmas, we did some fun things which I thought might be good to document. This does include seeing reindeer for the very first time too! I hope you enjoy my Christmas photo diary!

The Presents

I thought I would start out with the presents as I know everyone loves to see what people get for Christmas. I was lucky enough this year to get a new iPad Air from Adam in gold, which I got a Tardis case for and absolutely love! Of course I put Captain America as my screen saver though, as I’m sure you can see. Honestly, being a fashion blogger you would think that I would have had an iPad ages ago for work purposes, but I’ve only just got one. So far I love it! I definitely am a huge Apple fan since I have an iPhone and MacBook. I actually got Adam an iPad Mini too, it was funny that we both ended up getting each other iPad’s for Christmas! How crazy is that?

For other gifts, I got a wooden art box sex and a cool colouring book for adults which is so fun! I got the other usual smelly items like Dove soap, some hand cream, some socks, a calendar, some chocolates etc and little things like that, as well as money from my mum, dad, grandparents and Adam’s family. You may be wondering what the photo album is, well that’s a photo album I made for my nan, filled with some of my blog photos so she can have her own personal blog to keep since she can’t use the computer. The ASOS cover was a gift from ASOS that they sent me and I think it’s awesome! And finally, what are those Valentino Rockstud? You might have already seen them on my Snapchat or Instagram (LornaRaindrops) a few weeks ago as I got them in the Black Friday sale, but they were an early Christmas present to myself along with my Chloe Mini Drew Bag. I will be showing you them soon in a separate post, so stay tuned!

The Day Trips

Now moving on to the day trips and week leading up to Christmas, I always spend the entire week before with Adam, so he comes here and we get a whole 7 days together which I love since the long distance can be hard sometimes. So, Adam got here on the Wednesday, late afternoon, which meant we did some food shopping and then just went home. We first started out by going to Farrington’s Farm on Thursday to see the animals, look around the farm shop and enjoy some of their home made cakes/chocolates which I love. It was unfortunately raining a lot and cold, so it was a wellies day which didn’t make it very festive! On Friday we went to town to go to our favourite Italian restaurant and do a bit of last minute shopping.

On Saturday we took the train to Swindon to head to their designer outlet as we found out there would be reindeer there from 1-3pm! I had never seen reindeer before so I was literally so excited. I think I spent a good hour with them, they are amazing! One of the girl reindeer just dropped off her antlers the night before since they shed them every year, but at least we still saw the other one with antlers! There wasn’t a huge amount to do at the designer outlet though once the reindeer were gone, I mean there are some shops that are discounted, but not a great deal of ones that I like to be honest, so we took an earlier train and came home. I think that was a good idea anyway though as I was exhausted.

On Sunday we ended up doing a couple of photo shoots for my blog, including the elf outfit you saw and another one which you will see in the new year, but outfit shoots are becoming increasingly difficult for me lately, but I will speak more about that in my New Year post. After that, we had a quiet day in. On the Monday we went to visit my grandparents to give my nan the photo album I had made for her and then we did some more food shopping, then on Tuesday Adam and I celebrated our own Christmas Day early by watching films and playing games, things like that. We always do this since he goes home to his family for actual Christmas Day. Then on Wednesday, he went back home and I ended up doing quite a fair bit of work on the Wednesday and Thursday so I could take a few days off.

My actual Christmas was quiet since everyone seemed to be ill with colds, so I missed a lot of the TV I wanted to watch since I’m carefully avoiding them and just spent it quite quietly myself. My dad came up for a few hours and I had dinner with him, which was a nice change though. Not very festive I know, but maybe next year will be better. I’m just glad I got the nice week before to celebrate it! What about your Christmas? Did you have a nice time? I’d love to know what gifts you got and how you celebrated the love and sharing of the day!

You have some lovely gifts. I very much like your socks in particular. I’m curious about your colouring book though. I’ve heard good things about these adult colouring books from various friends who have tried them. There’s a Doctor Who one out which I saw in Waterstones a few days ago and was almost tempted but not sure if I’d enjoy it. Maybe… 🙂

We had a quiet Christmas day. Just myself, my parents and my grandad but now my brother and my sister-in-law and nephew are here so it’s lively here now. 😀

If you like colouring and art, then I think it would be fun! But if it’s not something you enjoy, it might not be. Depends what your creative side is like to be honest! I like it though as I’ve always been arty 🙂

Sounds like a fun time with everyone there! Did your turkey selfie/onesie go down well? 🙂

I enjoyed art when I was at school. I took it at GCSE anyhow and I do sometimes draw. ? Not done a colouring book since I was very young though.

The turkey onesie/selfie was appreciated. I think I am in the second year of an enduring Christmas tradition now… Lol

Ok, baby reindeer are the best, they are totally cute. Next, enjoy your rockstuds! I know you’ve been wanting a pair for ages, I’m so happy for you! Thanks for sharing, I always love to see what other people got up to. I escaped the cold and flew down to Arizona for Christmas and then I’m off to Ottawa on Wednesday for New Years…. Then… Back to Alberta and work and reality… Boo! Take care!

Lorna, how cute that you saw reindeer… they are sweet xox

I had a nice quiet Christmas myself… it’s something I needed as I then became ill.

Your gifts are lovely, I’m happy to hear that you and Adam had a week together ♡
