Hunter Cocoa Gloss Wellies With Jeans At The Farm

It’s been a little while since I posted an outfit featuring wellies, the last time was November in fact so it’s been a good 5 months! I’ve been getting numerous requests to do a wellies outfit again, so I thought the next time I headed down to Farrington Farm with Adam, he can take some photos for me, which is what we did a few weeks ago. We decided to shoot the photos with the cows in the barn behind (you can’t see them all that clearly) and yes, it did stink, lol. I absolutely adore animals as you know though so when I go to the farm I love being around cows, sheep, goats, chickens… all of them!

So what was I wearing? I chose my Citizens of Humanity Rocket Crop Jeans again, as I literally always wear these for errands and most things in general. I styled them with my Oasis Jumper and then layered on my Zara Kids Coat over the top. I’ve had this coat for over a year and it’s age 13-14 in girls, but even though the sleeves are a bit short, I love it! It pairs so nicely with my Henry Hunt Plaid Scarf and my Hunter Original Tall Cocoa Gloss Wellies as the colours match up well. To finish it off, I went with my Topshop Fleece Hat, to keep me warm since it’s was windy and raining. It’s quite nice to wear something casual again on my fashion blog as I’ve been wearing a lot of dressed up looks! Let me know what you think of my outfit in the comments below!

I think this is such an authentic countryside/farmyard look.It all comes together perfectly. I love the match that you have between the wellies and the coat especially. 🙂

These photos make me feel nostalgic towards all of the years I spent living on our old family farm. I might even dispute the word “stink” because if your blog could convey the smells as well as the sights of this outing then I really wouldn’t mind at all. 😉 lol Ahh, those were the days… 😀

Ha ha 🙂 It’s that sweet, sickly poop smell I meant, I can’t say I’m a huge fan of it when it’s sweet! Glad you liked the photos though!

I always found that any poop smells were overwhelmed by the silage smells – which I reckon is the most sickly smell on a farm (though that too can be gotten used to. 😉 )

        Any cute calves about? 🙂

Ha ha, silage! Ugh! I know exactly what you are on about there. I’d take manure spreading any day of the week over that! That was pretty much what it was smelling of there. There were younger cows, but I didn’t see any calves, if they were there they were probably tucked up in the barn as it’s quite chilly!

Yes, all silage is is fermented grass… Imagine eating that each day over winter! Still, our cows used to go wild for it. 😀

Wow, super cute Lorna. What an amazing outfit, those jeans are perfect for the Hunter Boots. You look wonderful in that outfit, I also love how your jacket matches the boots. Wonderful

Wellies are such an essential part of life when you live in a rainy area. Love how you styled them.

Great outfit Lorna! You’ve got me thinking of farm life and style in England vs. Canada. I’ve always had a soft spot for anything British (hey, those are my roots!) and love that you’d look that nice going to a farm, whatever you may be doing there. Sure I’d opt for a pair of boots that’d be easy to wash… or my perma-muddy cowboy boots, hehehe, and a little plaid, but when I see this I just think that it is quintessentially English. And I love it. Well done, this really speaks to me. xoxo

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you liked it that much and how different the farm styles are between Canada and England!

I love animals just like you do, hon & I guess I could cope with the smell at the farm – they are worth it, right? lol. Love the choice of clothing for such an occasion. Wellies look so cute, the colour is lovely! You fit into a Zara Kids coat, girl? You’re so petite and lovely 🙂 Hope you are having a good week!

I know! I put up with it too to be around the adorable animals 🙂 I’m really glad that you love them too! I used to wear kids clothing a lot actually, I tend to have smaller shoulders, so seem to fit them. It’s hard finding styles that aren’t covered in crazy colours and children’s prints though, ha ha!

You look so warm and adorable, dear. I love how you combined the wellies with that Zara coat. I haven’t visited a farm since a was a child and yes, I remember the smell, haha. But it’s a super fun experience! 🙂

Just a quick question what size feet are you? And would you normally get a bigger size pair of wellies to have room or would you get your actual size feet?

Hi, I wear a UK 6-7 in shoes and I take a UK 6 for a normal fit or a 7 if I want thick socks, depends how you want to wear them. I do find it is always better to size up in case you want thick socks for warm feet as wellies can be quite cold!

Thanks for your comments =) I read & reply every one =)
