As it’s the new year and we have already made our new years resolutions and created our wish lists for 2017, I thought it was a good idea to leave this wish list post until the end of the month so that my cravings are very much cemented in. I did vow to be good this year with my spending, as most of us do every single year, but that almost seems impossible with the amount of cute and gorgeous pieces coming out right now!
There’s three designer bags that I want to buy this year, which I’m limiting myself to for the entire year. In no particular order, the first one being the Balenciaga Mini City in Brown Suede, which would go with everything! Second is the Louis Vuitton LockMe Backpack, how cute is that? Then lastly, a Valentino Lock Bag which I have wanted for almost a year, from Farfetch, with a possible hint of a Celine Box Bag in there towards the end of the year. While saving up for these beautiful bags though, it never stops me wanting other pieces, especially when it comes to denim and clothing in general. I can never get enough of the new season trends and am always excited to put together new outfits to share with you all here on my fashion blog.
I don’t even need to tell you how bad the weather has been here in the UK lately, but with the constant layering up and preparing for downpours and chipping off the icicles that are dangling from my ears, it really has me ready for Spring, which of course means I’m thinking about clothes and accessories which are ideal for the warmer weather. I’m really feeling embroidered jeans and jackets right now as that’s not something I’ve dipped into since I was a little kid, but I think with the subtle and mature prints around at the moment, combined with the updated and modern fits, there’s nothing childish about it. What’s your opinion on embroidery on denim though?
I also have an obsession with over the knee boots as I’m sure you all know by now. I think they look so fashionable! I’ve always wanted a burgundy pair and that pair above looks perfect to me, especially since it’s a rich berry suede colour! How cool would they look paired with that black denim mini skirt with the frayed hem and a cream knitted top? I got the inspiration for that outfit from Hilary Duff here, so I’m definitely going to be putting my own spin on that look.
Lastly, as it’s Valentine’s Day in a few weeks time, I thought that heart printed Burberry scarf was ideal for the romantic holiday as it’s everything you’d need to celebrate Valentine’s, but in a subtle and classic way. I love it! Speaking of that though, Adam and I have a joint gift that we got to share and I really can’t wait to show you it as it’s something very special to both of us, and scarf related!
Anyway, new shades of lipsticks in deeper red and purples, classy cream coloured bags, leather pants, lip prints, rose gold watches, and more are just some of what’s on my currently craving wish list right now, so here’s my top 12 choices in the collage above with the corresponding numbers to click for each product just below. I’d love to know what you’re craving this month or next? Plus, if any of the pieces I’ve shared with you take your fancy, let me know which ones! I’d really love to know what everyone is after for 2017. Happy shopping!

Thank you so much!
Some very nice things in the mix there, as always – especially the jacket at #2 and the watch at #8. 🙂 I’m not sure about the embroidery on denim thing – but open to be persuaded. 🙂
I think I must rein in the spending a bit now myself. I’ve already spent more on jeans this month than in the whole of the last two years combined… then there’s my new obsession with cookery books (though it was mostly Christmas money that I spent on those…). Time for a frugal February here. 😀 LOL

Frugal February sounds like a good idea! Those jeans look great on you though, so you can’t complain 😀
Thanks! 😀 Coming from you that means a lot. 🙂 So kind!
Oh, I’m certainly not complaining. I’ve worn all three pairs several times now already. Love them all! 😀

I’m glad 🙂
Loved number 1 and number 7, the Burberry heart scarf is sooo sweet! This is true, with the amount of beautiful things out there, no wonder we have wish lists! I loved everything you selected, but as I said the ones I mentioned were my favorite pieces. The bomber jacket is also lovely (number 2) and the bag with the mouth as well! So, I hope you get all the pieces and show them later to us! Hope you have a great weekend!

Hi Lorna!
I know what you mean! It’s easy to be tempted by new items when the season changes, and somehow justify getting new pieces which aren’t strictly necessary! I love all your choices here, and the handbags are gorgeous and very elegant. I’m excited to hear about the joint gift with Adam which you’ll be covering on the blog soon. I love embroidered jeans, and I recently bought an indigo pair with floral embroidery, after searching for something like it for ages! I’m definitely in favour!
Aside from the fashion, I hope you’re doing well. It’s amazing how hard you work, even with the sad events you recently dealt with. I hope you’re doing well and looking after yourself. Seeing your example makes me want to work hard too, even when times are tough.

Oh your embroidered jeans sound lovely, Saba! I can’t wait to see those. Will you be wearing them on your blog?
And thank you, that’s really kind of you. I sort of find that throwing myself into work keeps my mind occupied. I will admit it’s been tough and I’ve had some sleepless nights where I just can’t rest my mind from thoughts, but trying to block that out and work on things that distract me seems to help a lot! xx.
I’m sorry to hear that you feel sad sometimes and had some sleepless nights. I can see why you would want to put all your energies into work, as it’s a positive outlet for dealing with those feelings. I also love to be busy, and if I try to relax for even a short time, it makes me deeply uneasy, and I feel bothered by the fact that I’m not doing anything useful. Regarding the insomnia, I find that exercise always helps. When I go for a long walk, it makes me so tired that I’m bound to fall asleep the moment my head hits the pillow!
Thank you so much for your kind comments. Yes, I’ll be wearing my new embroidered jeans soon. I just had to get them altered first, as they were designed for super-tall people, and that cost a fortune in itself! Hopefully you’ll be seeing them on the blog soon.
Anyway Lorna I hope you’re taking good care of yourself and staying strong. I wish and hope for your wellbeing, and peace of mind. xx

Unfortunately going for a walk isn’t an option at night as it’s a bit dangerous, and usually exercise makes me really alert lol! Funny how it’s different for everyone isn’t it? Tailoring and alterations can be so pricey! Was it just the hem you had to have shortened? I’m excited to see them!
Oh I agree, walking at night isn’t a safe option. But I like to be out and about during the daytime, and I find it always makes me fall asleep easily at night. Regarding the jeans, I just had them shortened by two inches by a professional tailor, but it was surprisingly expensive, perhaps on account of it being in Central London. I feel I need to wear the jeans as much as I can now, to make myself feel better about the added expense! xx
Author
Ha ha, you should wear them all the time! And oh! I’m glad you’re not walking at night, that’s a relief!
I’m so in love with the LV backpack. I love embroidered denim too. Gosh Lorna, everything is so amazing here.

Though some snowy pics wld have been great for The Gram. Have a good week ahead hon! ( :

Ha ha! Yeah you got it right. They do look very similar to Lulu Guinness though since her signature is the lips. It’s easily confused. That snow sounds like it would have been lovely! ( :
