The Emerald Green Topshop Coat
As most of you know, I don’t tend to wear a lot of green in my outfits. The only green that crops up every single time is in my eyes, so I’m trying to make a change and include more green! It’s a colour that I have always liked and I actually think it’s quite complementary to my skin tone, but I usually opt for lighter shades rather than an emerald jewel tone like this. When I saw this Topshop Emerald Green Coat though, I knew I wanted to style it and share it on my fashion blog as it makes the perfect change and is very fitting for London Fashion Week.
I decided to wear the coat over my shoulders as it was a little large in the size UK 8, but kept everything else underneath in black. I wore my Oasis Jumper, my Hudson Barbara Jeans, my Chanel Wallet on Chain and my Christian Louboutin Pigalle Heels. I think keeping a black base was really helpful in giving the coat that visual appeal, while a little pop of a pink/red on my lips livened it up a little bit. I love coats so much, but I really hope it gets hot soon! I would love to know what you think of this outfit and whether or not you like the green coat? Comment below!
What I Was Wearing:
Coat – Topshop
Knitwear – Oasis (similar)
Jeans – Hudson
Shoes – Christian Louboutin
Bag – Chanel

I’m glad you like it!
It brings power and energy, dear Lorna! Especially these “transition” days. I cannot wait for the calendaristic spring to come in a couple of days! <3 Keep smiling!

The coat is perfect!!! 😀 It’s such a lovely shade of green – so bright and cheerful. I think that these winter days are exactly the right time to be wearing greens such as this when there’s no so much of it about in the natural world – as I think your photos here demonstrate.
Great news to read that you are thinking of including more green in your outfits. 😀 Whenever you wear green it always works exceptionally well, in my opinion. 🙂

Thank you, Steven 🙂 I always know you appreciate some green in my outfits. Hopefully some lighter pastel greens make an appearance for Spring! Green is such a complimenting colour though!
Green really is a great color on you Lorna, I love how you paired it with all black underneath… you look gorgeous as always xox

This emerald coat is so beautiful Lorna. I styled an emerald dress over the holidays but haven’t posted it. I did share one look from that on Instagram. Its such a pretty color and looks so good on you. The oversize fit is so perfect on your shoulders.

I am so biased to give an opinion, because I simply looooove green and this shade of green is amazing! I loved the coat and especially the way you are wearing it – with beautiful jeans, dark jumper and beautiful shoes – and the bag is also fantastic – it’s a very elegant look! You look always so beautiful and polished up, I really loved this look! Hope you have a very amazing week, dear Lorna!

My favorite green is somewhere between emerald (which that coat appears to be) and British Racing (which is a tad darker). Of course, you would style them for maximum impact. 🙂

Yeah, emerald is gorgeous shade of green! I know the racing green you mean too, but I think I like emerald more 🙂
I LOVE that coat! I don’t own all that much green myself…even though it is a color I really like. Hmmm. Might have to change that! But that color looks fabulous on you. It’s such a classic coat!

Wow Lorna, what a cool coat you are wearing. The green looks so good on you with that outfit, looking very sexy. St Paddy’s day is nearly there, haha. Today I might get my new coat and wellies, jay.

I read somewhere on the internet (so it must be true, right?) that only 2% of people have green eyes.. so yay us!
Love your green coat! I realised that I don’t have that much green either.. I must rectify that! 🙂

Yep, it’s 2% 🙂 Yay us too!
This coat is so chic Lorna, and the vibrant shade of green is lovely and very flattering on you. It definitely suits your skin tone and eye colour perfectly, so you shouldn’t hesitate to wear green again! I love the simple but stylish black outfit underneath, which allows the vibrancy of the coat to really stand out.
Lots of love Saba xx
