A Luxurious Aloe Vera Herbal Tea Experience
I seldom do blog posts on food and drink as it’s not really an area I share, however that changes when I’m really inspired and into a product that I adore. I recently found out about Tastea at the end of last year and thought the brand’s concept was great. I’ve never been a normal British tea drinker, but I am a fan of herbal tea and different tastes, which is why this brand stood out to me. Tastea was established from a need for natural and homeopathic products (which we all love) as they believe in the power and odours of nature. They specialise in luxurious tea blends, loose and herbal teas which can do something for you and it’s all 100% natural. Just how I like it!
The founders and owners of Tastea invented the current tea blends in collaboration with Chinese herb experts, eminent physicians and tea sommeliers. The result is a huge variety of tasty and balanced teas, making something for everyone. A great taste quality is of high importance and is achieved in various ways. One way is by picking the tea in a distinct way – by hand, guaranteeing they only use the best tea leafs for their blends. The great flavour is another way, achieved by drying the tea between orange peels (you can see these in the tea cans), but this allows the tea ingredients to absorb the orange taste, while you can discover the other flavours as well.
As you know I have a sensitive stomach and digestive issues, so I went for a Tastea blend that would be calm and soothing – Aloha Vera. They have such cool names for their flavours though, some of them include Skintight, Picture Perfect, Frozy Cozy, Calm Down, Make Your Bedrock, Bae Sweet… and that’s another thing that attracted me to the brand. There’s a blend for different moods and different tastes, so you can have a whole cupboard full if you want to!
Getting to my Aloha Vera blend, I’m sure you can already tell that I chose it based on the Aloe Vera properties. I know this plant to be healing and soothing, from the inside as well as the outside, so it was a tea blend that I wanted to try. It’s not just pure Aloe Vera though, it’s mixed with lemongrass, spearmint, ginger, lemon peels, black pepper, licorice root and more. It makes for a fresh tea with a mild sweet aftertaste. It actually smells delicious, the strongest ingredient I noticed in this tea was spearmint, so it’s very minty, but you can also taste the lemon as well. It’s a really nice mix with lots of undertones which you pick up on as you drink. I’m always in need of anything to calm my anxiety and calm my digestive system down, so relaxing with a nice flavoured tea with healing elements has been a part of my routine for a few weeks now. I’d like to think that all these little changes are really making a difference, but I will be doing another health update soon.
All of the Tastea blends come in black tins, but they have different colours for the different flavours. Aloha Vera is obviously green, as you can see, but it’s such a fancy and luxurious tea, I can imagine these cans being collected after (I know I would!). It comes as a loose tea mix though so you need to have a tea pot that allows the tea to be poured out without the leaves coming out with it, and even though I don’t have one of those, it was no issue to me as I just poured mine through a sieve to drink the tea. It’s pretty simple! It’s actually come in really handy with the lemon and ginger in the blend as I’ve had the flu, and I know lemon and ginger are great for sickness. I’m really enjoying the taste, and for a herbal tea that surprises me as I can be quite picky. I’m a huge fan of anything minty though which might be why I’m very attracted to this one and enjoying the different notes that come through as you take each sip.
If any of you would like to try any of the tea blends from Tastea, they have given me a 10% discount code for you all with the code LORNA at the checkout. I’ve got my eye on the Bloody Hell and Calm Down blends to try next as I think they will be suited to me. Have any of you tried Tastea? It’s a collaboration I’m very happy to be part of. Lorna xx.

That’s so good to have a discount, dear Lorna! And Tastea, being recommended by you, sounds great – more than that, being developed with Chinese herb experts, physicians and tea sommeliers (wow!), that really sounds great! I am eager to try it, especially when back to Europe soon and my previous habits 🙂 I hope it goes on well to your sensitive stomach, that is really important. Believe it or not, I am now not able to eat anymore something I loooove – tomatoes 🙁 Maybe I can, after this tea! Hope you have a nice week! Hugs!

Oh no! I’m sorry Denise, not eating tomatoes! I know how you feel because sometimes too much tomato does the same to me, my stomach hurts from the acid. I hope that is just temporary and gets better 🙂 I do love this tea genuinely though! I think you would too if you like flavoured tea! 🙂
They seem to have so many interesting flavours though! I love tea and love to try new ones, so gonna give this brand a try. Have a lovely week! Xx

I think you will love it!
I don’t like tea at all… so this isn’t really one for me. However, I welcome the presence of a food/drink item in your blog. 🙂 If you do some more recommendations in the future I’m sure there will be something that I can try. 🙂 So it’s a big thumbs up for doing this entry even though it’s not a product that I’d consider in this instance.
