Allsaints Grey Coat With Adidas Gazelle
Oh my gosh. I don’t even know where to start with this blog post as the whole country has gone crazy with the weather. I’m pretty sure everyone is aware of Storm Emma and how the UK (as well as many European countries) was hit by it over the last few days. The country somewhat came to a close as the airports were shut, trains were cancelled, buses were cancelled, work and schools were shut, people were snowed in, shops were closed, supermarkets couldn’t even get any deliveries and we haven’t had any mail for days. I’ve actually never seen snow this deep in my life and from what I was told, it hasn’t happened since the 80’s.
In my city of Bath, we literally never get snow, the rest of the country does and we don’t, however this time in my back garden, it was knee high deep in some places (see my IG stories). There have been numerous cars crashed into hedges and lamp posts as well near my house as we live near a hill, but being in the countryside, I don’t think any of our areas were gritted at all which is why everything has come to a standstill. Thankfully all the snow has melted and our temperatures are now above 0 as it was -12 at one point! I hope all of you are safe and managed to get through all the snow. How bad was it by you? What area are you from?
Anyway, getting to my outfit, this is one that I wore back in earlier February or late January. Taking photos has been a challenge lately due to the sub zero cold (I tried a couple weekends ago and my limbs felt like they were falling off), so I’m getting through the ones we shot in advance for now. I decided to wear my Allsaints Ora Coat in Grey (see it before here) over my Oasis Grey Jumper. I then added some blue with my Hudson Barbara Skinny Jeans in Hideaway (see them before here) and finished it off with more grey in the form of my Topshop Scarf and my Adidas Gazelle Sneakers. I did also have my Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC, but it was beneath the layers. I was really feeling something grey with lots of layering and shapes to it, which is why I chose this outfit. Casual and comfortable, just what I’m feeling lately! What do you think of the outfit?
What I Was Wearing:
Coat – ALLSAINTS
Jeans – Hudson
Scarf – Topshop (similar)
Shoes – Adidas
Bag – Rebecca Minkoff

I love the layers of grey, the look great! I also love the choice of jeans! The wash of the jeans gives the outfit a nice pop of color, but it doesn’t distract from the rest of the outfit.

So glad you like it!
Glad you are staying warm and survived the snow! I hope there wasn’t flooding if it melted that quickly (Then I’d vote up your Wellies on insta LOL!!!!). It is the aftermath of a good blizzard where people get hurt. Stay off the roads and be careful of black ice if you have to drive somewhere, don’t try to shovel your driveway (and roof and deck if its all flat) all at once, and wear a warm toque if you have to be outside.
It seems like everywhere has been in a snow globe lately. You know I obviously get lots of snow and cold where I am (its normal to hover around -36C in the winter here. Kind of annoying) but we actually had some weather that was even bad for our standards. I’ll put it like this- hockey was cancelled yesterday and I’ve never seen that in 30 years. On the upside, our never-ending snowfall from the weekend has seemingly lifted.
Now to the point of my comment (sorry, Canadians and their weather…) I really, really like this outfit. I love how grey pairs with light blue denim. There is something about the palette that works so well. Your Adidas really pop too, and paired with that jacket is perfection!!!! You are my muse for the day!

Ha ha, you’re lucky I know what a toque is! I only know as my uncle from Canada was here last year and he said about my toque, he didn’t recognise me in it, and I was so confused! We call them beanies lol! I have warm hats, scarves, gloves, layers, everything! We have had some flooding in places, our car park was closed due to flooding because of the snow melting. We don’t have a driveway or a deck or anything, we have just a really small house on a communal street, but luckily we’re over the worst and out the other side thankfully! I can’t imagine being in -36, that sounds insane!! And ice hockey being cancelled, I didn’t know they would even cancel it lol. That’s madness! Thank you for liking my outfit though, really pleased you loved it that much! I didn’t even know if it was worth sharing as it was just casual, but since I don’t have much else in storage, I had to, ha ha!
I love Adidas Gazelle sneakers! I have mine in red but they also look so cool in grey!!
Amazing outfit!

The weather is definitely wreaking havoc this year. I hope you guys are doing ok. In our area, it rained and hailed over the week and weekend but nothing as drastic as knee deep in snow. I love your grey coat! It such a lovely color and pairs really well with your shoes. I hope you had a great weekend regardless of the weather and here’s to an amazing week!

We didn’t have any snow, but it was extremely cold over here in the Netherlands. It looks like spring now! Strange weather!

It has been so crazy!
Hope you all are staying warm! I understand that that kind of weather is difficult there .. And stay safe! Here it’s that normal winter still, changing to spring soon, I guess. I have this grave for grey now! I want all to be grey, just a different shapes. Maybe during spring I can see other colors too.. I haven’t even tried to take and pictures about outfits way too cold to take jacket off 😁 so all one can see is huge fake fur jacket and hat. Not too inspiring.. Have a good week xox hope warm, too!

Gosh that sounds so cold by you! I wouldn’t cope if it was like that all the time! Ha ha 😀
The whole world weather is going nuts. Here in the states we had 80 degree weather. Then the next week a wind storm and today snow.

I love the grey on grey – the different textures with the scarf and coat keep it interesting 🙂
Sorry to hear about your crazy weather too, hope you were safe with the snow! We have people visiting at the moment from the UK and the airports were closed so they weren’t sure if they’d be able to make it at one point! Luckily they got her safely, although they arrived to rain so not the best alternative weather haha!
Hope you are having a good week so far 🙂 I’ve lost my voice so not the best week for me, haha! I’m trying to rest up.

It’s always so crazy when the snow hits when we don’t expect it. We regularly get snow even on Mother’s Day, so I have to pull out the boots and sweaters!!

I have mixed feelings about the weather really… I’m relieved that it came just after my mini holiday in Brighton so that wasn’t disrupted. On the other hand I feel sorry for my dad that it messed up his 70th birthday… I couldn’t get to see him until 2 days later than I’d originally planned and my brother, sister-in-law and nephew couldn’t get up here at all for it. 🙁 So no family party…
I actually remember the really big snowfall of the early 1980s. I can’t remember exactly which year but I do remember my dad taking me to school in his tractor as that was the easiest way to get through it… the school didn’t close… they tended not to do so in “the olden days of my youth”… 😀
Anyway, I love your outfit. As you know, I’m quite a fan of grey and especially a fan of how well you always bring grey to life. It’s a bit unfair that grey has such a drab reputation but I get the feeling that this is changing now as more people are giving it a chance. The scarf is brilliant – I think it’s really bold in its simplicity (if that makes sense). The jeans are gorgeous. I clicked through the link to your previous post to and I have to say it really is very impressive how different the two outfits featuring them are. Your project to reuse previously seen items in new combinations is going brilliantly. Have these jeans faded quite significantly since then or is it just a difference in the kind of lighting? Either way they’re fabulous. 🙂
I especially like the 2nd photo of this batch (the one where you’re holding the phone). That’s such a nicely composed image – one of my favourite individual shots so far this year.

Yeah, it’s definitely caused a huge amount of disruption! Luckily Adam wasn’t due to come down last weekend because that would have been cancelled and we would have ended up missing 3 weeks together! Sorry it messed up your dads birthday though, that’s a great age!
The jeans aren’t faded, I think it’s definitely the lighting. They might have faded a tiny, tiny amount, but not as much as the photos show so it’s definitely weather and lighting related there! It was darker when we shot these photos, so I had to lighten them up a lot in editing so it might be why they look lighter! Glad you like the look!
What a pretty coat! I love the whole look!

That is so crazy about all the snow! I’m glad it’s all melted now though. We’ve had a little snow this year but not too much–we just had some ice that made it difficult to get out and about. I love this look–the grey sneakers are so fun!
