Arabel Manners – Shoes For Ladies Who Need Larger Sizes

Arabel Manners – Shoes For Ladies With Bigger Feet

I was recently introduced to the brand Arabel Manners and was quite excited to be able to share something different with you! I don’t know if there’s any ladies out there reading this with larger feet, but if there are, definitely pay attention to this shoe brand! Arabel Manners is an up and coming footwear designer and caters for sizes 41-45 across the whole collection. In UK sizes that’s an 8-12, so for anyone with larger feet (Paris Hilton, check them out!) you no longer have to wear men’s shoes or suffer the pain of squeezing into the largest size you could find which happened to be too small.

The Arabel Manners label cares so much about unique and special designs, functionality, comfort and style. The collection was designed to leave customers with the sense of individuality, prestige, and the sense of having desired footwear. Combining sophistication with hand craftsmanship, the colouring of each shoe is done to perfection, and only using quality materials.

So how did the brand come about? Arabel Manners (the brand) was born when her mother, a large shoe buyer, was frustrated that luxury footwear in her size was not accessible in the same way, compared to if she was a slender U.K size 5. She was always made to feel second best when walking into a luxury footwear store as her size was never catered for. The brand is built with emotion and creativity at the heart of each shoe design, so you never need to feel self conscious.

When I was younger, I would regularly wear men’s shoes and finding the shoes I wanted was quite tricky as I used to be a 40-41. Sometimes a 41 was never available and I always felt conscious of my feet being large because I’m quite short. As time has gone on though, I now wear a 39/40 which is mostly available due to vanity sizing taking place, somewhat. It does depend on the brand though! I’m hoping I can help some of you out there with shoe troubles by sharing this with you, so I caught up with Arabel herself to find out more about the brand for you. Check out our conversation below.

Lorna: There’s obviously a huge gap in the market for ladies with larger feet as most brands stop at size UK 8, rarely a size 9, so what inspired you to create shoes for those ladies?

Arabel: The inspiration came from hearing a lifetime of frustration from my mom who is a size 9. She always liked to do girly shopping and dress on trend but could never do this with her feet.

I grew up with her always buying extra pairs of shoes for me because she could not purchase them in her size. Her frustration was mirrored by my now late grandmother who was a remarkable size 10 who had to buy men’s!

Lorna: You have a lot of different designs, which do you think will be the biggest hit with your customers? I’d love to know your thoughts!

Arabel: I definitely think the Tartan Chelsea boot! Tartan is really in this season and seems like its staying for a while!

Lorna: What can we expect from you with future designs? Will you be branching out?

Arabel: Future designs will be edgy, current, versatile and comfortable. I spent a lot of time in Italy ensuring that at the designing stage, the models of the shoes are comfortable and shaped in a way to give ease whilst walking so this type of research will continue. It’s hard to say exactly where the brand will go as we get so many requests so I wouldn’t say just yet. But it will definitely be exciting!!

Lorna: Thank you! I’m excited to see what everyone thinks!

Now you can see a selection of the shoes I like the most from the collection which will launch very soon! There’s definitely a boot or shoe for every occasion here and I love the tan ones just below, how pretty are they? I have sympathy for anyone who struggles with shoe shopping. One of my feet is a bit wider than the other so it’s not always clear cut what size I take if I want to be comfortable. It’s not so bad now but it was a nightmare finding footwear when I was younger and still growing. 🙂

Anyway, this is a great concept and there are some very interesting looking shoes in these photos. I’ll be honest and say that there are a couple of pairs that I don’t think look very nice… but most of them I think look terrific. 🙂

I have one foot longer than the other, so my right is actually a half size longer! I feel you there, lol!

Oh all of these styles are fierce! And so nice that people with larger feet have more options. I have the opposite problem my feet are small and it can be hard sometimes to find my size.

Beautiful shoes! I have the opposite problem since it’s hard to find smaller shoe sizes in the U.S.

This designer had such a great idea ! it’s always so hard to find pretty shoes when you have big feets.
In France, I do an averge size but when I was in Korea it was a struggle to find shoes which were fitting me.

Somehow it’s hard for me to grasp the idea that at some point you wore a European size 41 (which, if my old charts are correct, is a UK 7 or just shy of a US 10.

I should show these to my daughter, who wears a 42.

EU 41 is actually a UK 8. I did, but I’m sure that was back before vanity sizing, but on average I am a 40, which is madness since I’m so short. I blame my parents lol!

Thanks for your comments =) I read & reply every one =)
