Sunsets On Lyme Regis Beach

Sunsets On Lyme Regis Fossil Beach

I wanted to mostly let the photos do the talking for this blog post. After Adam and I had gone ‘fossiling’ as I call it, we saw the most prettiest sunset on the walk back, so we had to stop to take some photos. There was a little pool of water left over from where the tide had gone out earlier, and the orange sun was reflecting beautifully in it from the sky. It was truly picturesque!

As I was only wearing a really casual and easy outfit, I didn’t want to make this post about the look, and instead just keep it all about the beauty of the scenery. For those of you interested though, I was wearing Citizens of Humanity Corey Denim Shorts, an Oasis Shirt, and a Mulberry Lily Bag. It’s one of those rarer occasions where you see me with my hair tied back too.

For those of you who haven’t been to Lyme Regis before, I definitely recommend it. It’s not much of a town and it doesn’t have much night life, but if you’re someone that adores nature like I do, and history, you will like it. It’s very quiet and relaxing, yet filled with culture. These photos were taken on Fossil Beach and it’s usually pretty quiet there in the evening – we only saw about 10 people in 2 hours. It’s crazy to think that the rocks and fossils date back to the Jurassic period! Isn’t it beautiful? I can’t wait to go back!

P.S. – These are the same Citizens of Humanity shorts that I was wearing constantly last year during my holiday to St. Ives. I definitely recommend them! They brought them back again this year as a fan favourite, so that just says it all! Lorna xx.

Sucha great casual outfit, and I’m so glad you stopped to take these shots as like you said the sun setting gives them a beautiful colour! What a nice time to capture! 🙂

Hope that you are having a wonderful weekend! It’s really cold here and one of the boys is unwell so it will be another quiet one for us!

The ambiance and scenery of Lyme Regis is amazing and beautiful. I love that it’s not hustling and bustling. This looks like an amazing vacation spot to just really disconnect. Beautiful photos!

The beach looks relaxing! It reminds me of the beach in Bicol here in the Philippines. When we had a vacation there, we would always walk on the shore every morning, during low tide. I love sitting on the huge rocks and being reminded hat at night, that shore will be filled with small sea animals because of the high tide.

Night life? I’d say that the gorgeous beach and the intriguing rock pools are the night life! What more could anyone want from an evening in a seaside town? 🙂 I think there’s something very magical about the stillness and peacefulness of a beach in the evening.

Thinking back it must be about 31 or 32 years since I was last at Lyme Regis but it looks pretty much the same and stirs a few vague memories. 🙂

Nice outfit too, Lorna, it’s ideal for the time of day and location. 🙂

Nice to see a beach post in your blog, I like your get-up, very refreshing. Nothing can go wrong with a white shirt in the beach.
