Privacy Please Troy Mini Dress Outfit
I wanted to start of by saying thank you so much for the enormous support regarding my last post on 10 Ehlers Danlos Syndrome Life Hacks! It’s had thousands of views already and has been shared around many places, and lots of people have found it helpful for their own symptoms, or commented on the shares with their own tips, which I am really pleased about! I’m so glad I’m able to help others going through the same as me. I’m really struggling with regulating my temperature at the moment though and have been suffering a lot with the heat, especially on Saturday when we shot these photos, I couldn’t stop sweating in the restaurant and by the evening, my legs had swollen up and I couldn’t move them for hours while they ached in pain. I’m doing ok though, I’m managing everything. Now as I’m excited about this post, I will get to it!
I couldn’t resist the word play on this title! What I am wearing here is the Privacy Please Troy Mini Dress in Kristina Floral, so obviously I would want to make a joke as the title! It’s such a cool name for a brand after all… What first attracted me to this dress was the sleeves as they hang over the tops of the arms, and secondly is was the colour palette. I usually always wear warm tones, especially when it comes to prints, so choosing a dress with only blue, green, and yellow in it was completely new to me. Oh what a sheltered life I have lived! I am always under the impression that my skin tone only suits warmer shades, but now I know I can wear cool tones like this, you’re going to be seeing a lot more greens and yellows for sure! I did take a size Medium in it as I wanted to make sure it fitted, however I could definitely have gotten away with a Small as it is quite roomy!
I decided to style this pretty Privacy Please Troy Mini Dress with my Jeffrey Campbell Atone Bow Sandals, my Celine Micro Belt Bag, Ray-Ban Aviators, and my brand new Michael Kors Bradshaw Rainbow Watch. You might remember me featuring this in my wish list last week as it was an item that stood out to many of you, so I got it as a birthday present to myself. It’s truly stunning in person! I will be showing it on my IG Stories today, so keep an eye on my Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) for that!
Now getting to my earrings, how pretty are they? I absolutely love pearl earrings and have wanted a pair for ages, but getting the right type of drop on a sterling silver hook was almost an impossible task, until I saw these by Kyoto Pearl! They’re flat disk natural pearls in white, on sterling silver, so they look amazing! They’re just the right size to make a statement, they’re light so I can’t even feel them, and they look so classy. I’ve had them in for a week now and am obsessed! Plus, with the price only being £29, how can you pass it up? New love right here!
So this is my summery look! I like how it turned out and even though it’s different to my usual, I think all the accessories here, like the watch and shoes, shouldn’t match in theory, but in a way they do. Of course my bag goes with everything though as it’s that perfect neutral shade which can be warm or cool, light depending. What do you think of my outfit? Comment and let me know! Lorna xx.

I don’t do so well with the heat either and feel like it’s been the hottest summer yet. I hope this weekend cools down a bit for both you and I and wishing you guys a beautiful weekend!

Thank you, Maureen! So pleased you like it all! And yep, I think for us here in the UK, it’s been the hottest summer since the 1970’s, and it’s still going. It hasn’t stopped being over 26C for about 4-5 weeks now!
This outfit looks gorgeous on you, Lorna! Loving how you styled the dress and the nail polish as well! ❤

This dress is so very pretty with those dainty flowers and it has such a nice and flattering style too. 🙂 It puts me in mind of a wildflower meadow. You look lovely in it – and it’s great to read that you’ll be featuring more green and yellow in the future. These colours really do suit you well.
I wonder if there might also be some psychological value to wearing these cooler colours in the heatwave? I can only say that I’ve certainly not felt like wearing any reds or purples or oranges lately. LOL

That could be a psychological thing! I hadn’t noticed that I am gravitating to cooler colours! I will keep an eye on that, ha ha! Glad you like it 🙂
