Topshop Horse Coin Shirt With Jeans
So you saw my first outfit with this Topshop Horse Coin Shirt (if you missed it, see it here) and you all really liked the styling with the beige corduroy skirt, so what I have done for the second look is kept everything the same, but swapped out the skirt for a pair of AGOLDE Sophie Skinny Jeans in White, to bring a different vibe and feel to the outfit. The other pieces I was wearing are my Mulberry Small Darley in Oak, my Gucci GG Belt in Tan, and my Jimmy Choo Romy 85 Shoes.
I’ve kept the location the same and everything else, so you can really see how different the outfit looks with one piece changed. I was surprised myself actually at how a pair of distressed white jeans makes the ensemble tougher, more casual, and gives it an edge, compared to how chic, feminine and classy it looked before, but both of them still have a playful twist because of the blouse. Since I covered everything else in the previous post, I don’t need to go into too much detail with this article, so I’m going to leave you with the big question of which look you prefer. Do you prefer it with the skirt, or with the jeans? I want to hear your arguments for both! Lorna xx.

One piece really can make a huge difference to an outfit. I love both looks, but I actually prefer the tougher version with the jeans.

Thank you! It looks like jeans are winning!
It’s a great shirt and it works so well with the jeans as well! I feel like I always default to denim when putting an outfit together, so I think I like this outfit a little more as I’d be more likely to wear something similar 🙂
Hope that you are having a lovely weekend 🙂 It’s really stormy here, but it’s making it a bit cooler so it’s welcome!

Thank you, Mica! Glad you like it, most people are preferring with jeans too!
Hi Lorna,
before reading your post I opened the post with the skirt in a different tab of my browser as I recognized the horse coin shirt and remembered that awesome outfit some weeks ago. So I wanted to compare both. I fully agree that the jeans are a very good alternative to the skirt and that they make the whole appearance more casual. My „prima vista“ immediate impression, like what I would spontaneously say when comparing both outfits, is that the skirt fits in a bit better. And I guess the reason for is that I find the (or may be that particular) skirt-shirt combination very unconventional and original. The skirt is nothing less than awesome!!! The jeans, however may be preferred by some people in some occasions. What I also like in the new photos is that there are darker than the previous ones, thus emphasizing the bright jeans colour while the ambient light complements the shirt tones very nicely.
Anyway, I find both outfits very well styled.

Thanks, Steven! You’re the only one so far who’s chosen skirt, everyone else has gone for jeans, so I like your originality! The darker ambience was due to the sun going down as the photos were about an hour apart, so that’s why! Glad you think it adds more to the outfit that way!
I love the earth tone colors. The print of the shirt is lovely.

I like skirts but I am not a big fan. So my answer may be biased if I say that I prefer the blouse paired with a white denim instead. I agree that the distressing on the denim gives this look a much more edgier vibe than with the skirt. However, the skirt lends to a more feminine outfit which is definitely perfect for date nights or an event. Either way, this blouse is pretty and you look great in both outfits.

Hmm, it’s a tough choice because the difference that the jeans make compared to the skirt is astonishingly radical – really it’s like comparing apples to oranges. However, I like this version with the jeans the best.
You wear white really well – and I, personally, think white is the most difficult of all colours to get right in an outfit (though maybe more difficult for men than for women?). Not everyone can do it. I certainly find it tricky. The only white thing in my wardrobe that I wear at all regularly is my white denim jacket – but even that is never really a focal point in any outfit that I put together but rather just serves to make the other items stand out. In this outfit though I think the white jeans have equal status to the shirt. Great look. 🙂

Thank you, Steven 🙂 I do agree that white can be hard to pull off, it often looks better on tanned skin too, but I think if you wear it with confidence and style it with neutrals, you’re good to go! I do agree it’s probably easier for women as well, always gender unfairness somewhere along the lines, ha ha!
