Styling 2 Different Leather Skirts

Happy June! I’m pleased to announce that things in the UK are finally going back to normal, the shops re-opened today and restaurants are beginning to make plans, which is amazing. I can’t wait for everything to go back to normal. How are you all feeling about the lock down being lifted and life getting back on track? I’m hoping that I will be able to see Adam again soon so that we can do some photoshoots together, as we still work together, and I will finally have some new content for you!

These pictures were shot in a hotel room back in February or March, before the lock down happened, so I only have a few sets left to last me, which is why I haven’t had much content available. The first outfit was a Mango Cream Shirt with a Topshop Burgundy Leather Skirt, and the second one was a Mango Brown Shirt with an ASOS Black Leather Skirt. Both worn with a Mango Bralette in Leopard underneath to add a little something extra. I would say that both of these outfits are suitable for nighttime wear. You might notice that I was a lot curvier in these pictures too, and that’s because I had gained quite a bit of weight, but I’ve lost it all now and am pretty much back to my starting weight, so I can finally fit back into most of my clothes!

I’m planning to put together more content that isn’t outfit based as well, because I need to keep updating you guys, but without having been able to do photoshoots, I couldn’t upload many of my looks. I’m finally starting to feel better mentally now, so I feel ready to write more. I know I said that in my previous blog post, but then things got on top of me. I’m feeling stronger now. I’m still wanting to get into a different avenue of work as well, and that’s voice over acting/reading. So I will see if that’s something that is possible, but don’t worry, I will still have my blog! Thank you so much for all of your love and support, your kindness and always checking in on me to make sure I’m ok. It touches my heart and I genuinely appreciate it. I love you all! Lorna xx.

Lovely outfit, Lorna, I like the burgandy color better. How wonderful that things are opening up now, the same is happening here. New content is always good!

Thank you, John! Really glad you like it! And yes, I’m excited for things to be opening back up! Although everyone has gone crazy and not paying attention to social distancing in the stores!

Your welcome, Lorna. Shame on them. I was in the bank this morning, the floor has six foot distancing things on the floor, everyone stayed apart. I hope you can get back to posting more soon, didn’t know you still work with Adam.

Good to have you back Lorna and love the styling in this. Great tips on how to style a leather skirt as it’s not the easiest thing to pull off x

Hi Lorna. It’s good to see your blog post today. I always look forward to seeing what you are up to and you have a keen eye for pulling outfits together and what looks good on you at the same time! Quite the stylist! 🙂 You look fab in these outfits and we all know curves work! While I am definitely looking forward to seeing your new looks, it might be cool to do a few “look-back” blogs and take a poll of your readers favorites over the last few years. Kind of like tv shows – re-runs or “best of.” And as far as voice overs and acting, etc … I would be happy to assist in any way I can from Los Angeles. We have quite a large British group here on the West side of Los Angeles in Santa Monica. You could glam up the West Coast! Keep posting and staying positive. Thank you so much, Frank! That’s so kind of you 🙂 Glad you look forward to my posts! And that would be absolutely amazing if you could help in any way! A large British group of VO actors?

      • June 16, 2020 / 5:19 am

Just a large group of BRITs that live in Santa Monica I assume a few of them do voiceovers 😎

It’s delightful to see you posting again Lorna. I’m so glad to hear you’re feeling better, and focusing on your creative aims. Whether you’re curvier, or more svelte, you look stunning either way. The most important thing is to be healthy.

I adore both looks! I’m looking forward to reading new content from you. It will be good to hear more about your mental wellbeing and other things, as well as the usual fashion inspo, which I love.

    Lots of love Saba xx

Thank you, Saba!! I’m so glad you are excited for my new content! I am too, I feel like it’s time to start breathing life back into everything now. And I’m healthy again, I didn’t feel too good when I was heavier as it was pressure on my joints! Hopefully I can put out some good content going forward! Lots of love xx.

I’ve lost the 10 pounds that I gained, so I’m back to my starting weight that you were used to last year! Thank you!

Both combinations look good – but, to my eyes, the black and brown one is the winner here by a good margin. It looks so classy.

I’ve not been great mentally either. I’ve not seen any family in person since February and I’d not seen any friends in person since early March – until a couple of weeks ago when I was finally able to meet a friend, socially distanced and in masks, in the park. She only lives a mile away but that’s how crazy and destructive this virus has been (not just healthwise).

Yeah, it’s been really destructive on our mental health, seriously, it’s caused so many issues! I can’t believe it came to this, it’s gonna be in the history books for sure! I’m sorry you haven’t been doing too well xx.

Thanks Lorna. 🙂 xx I feel a bit better today as I’m hoping to see my parents next weekend. The reason I’d not seen them since the easing is they’ve been shielding my 92 year old grandad – but he’s ready to return to his own home now – so I’ll be able to see my parents now. Yes, it crosses my mind too that we’re living through a big moment in history… It also gives the phrase 20-20 vision a whole new meaning…

Yes it does! I didn’t think of that, it’s a huge change for everyone this year. I don’t think anything will fully be the same ever again. I’m glad you’re doing ok though 🙂

Thanks for your comments =) I read & reply every one =)
