Happy New Year Everyone!
I feel like I say this every year, but wow, this year sure did go by fast! I can’t believe I’m doing a roundup of the year again, when it doesn’t feel like 12 months has passed at all. One thing I can say though is that I looked back at my goals for 2021, and I have achieved quite a few of them! Not to mention they’re absolutely huge goals too, which I’m really proud of myself for achieving! As always, I’ve rounded up my favourite outfits of the year as well, so you can look at those below! But first, lets look at the things I listed last year, and how that went for me this year!
Going to America – Well, since I’m writing this blog post out from Ohio, USA, I think that went well, ha ha. This is my second time visiting the United States and I finally got my dream! I was always afraid of flying and I’ve gone from zero flights in my entire life, to 5 flights this year alone! I went to Croatia in August, then onto America, then back home, and back out to America again. I’m extremely proud of myself as I did it all alone, and you guys know how much of a big thing travelling like that is to me!
Fixing my teeth – I got Invisalign back in April of 2021 and my teeth are almost fully straight! I will be finished in February/March, and I cannot wait! I have always been self conscious of my wonky and overcrowded teeth, but now they’re almost straight and I’m already in love with them!
Focusing on myself – This I have really been focusing on! I’m single, and really working on myself as a whole, doing the things I want to do and becoming a better person. This year I have really felt a huge change in my independence and confidence, and I couldn’t be happier!
Thinking of clothing line – This I am still very much in the planning process of! It’s been a dream of mine for a long time, since I was a little girl, and it’s something that I will make happen, but this year wasn’t it. Hopefully within the next 5 years! It requires a lot of money and time to dedicate to it, which at the moment I just don’t have.
Voice work – I am still very much interested in this too! But I didn’t get around to it this year due to all the travelling and other things I was doing, as well as Covid still remaining a problem. It’s on my list for next year and the future!
Manager – Unfortunately things fell apart with my manager pretty quickly as the company had to get rid of some of their employees, due to money issues when Covid was happening, and she was one of them, so I didn’t have one for very long. I’m still looking to get a new one and go from there though! Time will tell!
Now for the year of 2022, I don’t really have any huge, big plans, but I definitely intend on travelling some more, visiting new countries, making new friends, continuing to work on myself and my blog, working with more amazing brands, and just keep on improving! I tend to focus a lot on my Instagram (@LornaRaindrops) for content, as that’s where I make outfit videos and more, so please do follow me there if you’re only a blog reader, as there’s so much more content! But I wont neglect my blog, I will continue to share posts with you here too! I’m excited to see what 2022 brings, and after having spent a lovely Christmas and New Year here in Ohio with friends and what feels like family, I feel like the world is my oyster! You never know, Mr. Right might come along too! Who knows! Ha ha. How was your 2021? And please do let me know what your favourite outfit of mine was! Lorna xx.

Thank you so much, Amy!
I hadn’t paid much attention to it until now, but it seems like black increasingly became your go-to color for 2021. Fortunately, it looks great on you as you typically used it as part of an ensemble that suggests just a hint of a bad girl hiding behind an angelic face, which is makes for an incredible juxtaposition when contrasted to your kind-hearted disposition. You always seem to come across as such a sweetheart in your posts, which is a trait I hope you never loose (I know how easy it can be to become disenchanted as the world often takes compassionate people like you for granted).
What sort of voice work would you like to do? Typically I would assume it means providing voices for cartoons, but it can also mean doing narration or voice overs. I know you’ve also recorded yourself singing in the past, which I’m not sure is considered voice work but is nevertheless another avenue you might wish to further explore (depending on how your voice has evolved over the past decade).

Thank you, Charles! I hadn’t even noticed that black became my favourite, but it looks like it did! And I actually am a very polite and sincere woman, very kind hearted apparently, and easy to be around. So I’m told, ha ha.
The voice work I would want to do is the narration for books and cartoons mostly, voice overs too, or commercials. Anything like that! Singing isn’t a career I would like to take!
You should buy some leather wranglers off eBay!

With all your symptoms how can you wear high heels a lot? My wife has little spot of arthritis in her big toe and finds high heels very painful, she can’t even put them on
Author
Hi Dave, I don’t have any arthritis, luckily, so heels are not painful on my feet unless they are 4 inches. I stick to about 3 inches or less, for longer wearing, and I’m ok. I do get back ache sometimes, but no feet issues. Heels would be painful for an arthritic big toe because of the way it needs to bend at the joint, I’m not sure if there’s any way around that.
