Saint Laurent YSL Le 5 a 7 – 2 Amazing Dupes

We all know that the Saint Laurent YSL Le 5 a 7 Bag is one of the most popular shoulder bags in existence in the designer bag world. I picked mine up in 2021 when it was much more affordable. I believe I got mine for around £1100 on Matches Fashion as I had a £300 coupon, and the retail was still £1400 ish. Fast forward to today, the retail value of the YSL Le 5 a 7 Bag is a whopping £1755! It’s not a price I would want to pay anymore for this bag, in fact designer bags in general are getting extremely pricey in this economy.

I thought I would put together a blog post where I found two Saint Laurent Le 5 a 7 alternatives and dupes for a much, much more affordable price! And when I say affordable, I do mean that. One of them is £345, which is about a fifth of the price, and the other is only £89… which is almost 20 times less.

I know the YSL Le 5 a 7 design is absolutely stunning and iconic! The simple shoulder bag with a buckle strap, and the statement YSL gold logo that closes the bag on a leather tab – it’s truly a gorgeous bag. I definitely recommend it if you have the budget (see my YouTube video here).

For those of you that love designer bags, but cannot afford to purchase them, or just don’t want to (because I do admit the markup is ridiculous, and most designer brands are not ethical or sustainable), I found these two dupes for the Saint Laurent Le 5 a 7 for you below! I have to say, I think the DeMellier version might be perfect actually!

DeMellier London The Tokyo Shoulder Bag – £345

This might just be one of the most perfect alternatives, right? It’s a very similar design, with a slightly longer shoulder strap that will stay on your shoulder better than the 5 a 7 does. Instead of the YSL logo though, this dupe has a gold fastening which I think looks really classy.

The best thing about this bag is that the brand is sustainable and ethical, which is so important in this day and age, and their bags are made in the south of Spain, where they’re known for their amazing craftsmanship and care. Everything about this bag sounds like it would be high quality and the perfect, more affordable version of the 5 a 7. It also comes in multiple colours, not just black.

Charles & Keith Cesia Metallic Accent Shoulder Bag – £89

This is the most affordable of the two YSL 5 a 7 dupes as it’s only £89! It is made from faux leather, but it features a very similar design with the length of the shoulder strap and shape of the bag – it’s just slightly more rounded and soft looking, with a gold tube accent instead of the YSL logo.

I’m choosing bags here that are similar in design, but not 100% exact dupes as that would be counterfeit, and I do not agree with this, so these are my two favourite options. The Charles & Keith Le 5 a 7 alternative is also from a brand that’s watching their sustainability and it’s easily affordable if you’re in the market for a new trendy designer handbag, but don’t want to pay the price tag.

Anyway, I scoured the internet high and low to find these perfect Saint Laurent Le 5 a 7 dupes and cheaper alternatives for you.
