A Gorgeous Orange Floral Dress & Woven Basket Bag Outfit

First up, lets talk about this dress! This is the Blue Vanilla Cold Shoulder Detail Chiffon Midi Dress (although it fits more like a maxi on me!). It’s made from Polyester with a gorgeous V-neckline, spaghetti straps, and a cold shoulder detail. There’s an elasticated waist with a tie on it, so you can cinch it in more, which I love on this dress as it makes it look more feminine. I chose a size UK 10 and I’m regularly an 8-10, so I’d say this fits very true to size!

The thing that spoke to me with this gorgeous dress was the print. I can never get enough of orange and floral prints, so this was absolutely perfect! Isn’t it unique with the print and the way the thicker straps hang off of the shoulder? So chic! You’re definitely going to be seeing more of this on me. Moving onto the other star of the show, the Blue Vanilla Pearl Pompom Mini Woven Handbag. Now we all know that the basket/woven bag trend is everywhere right now. I cannot walk into any store, high or low end, without seeing versions of a basket bag or tote – that’s how popular it is. When I saw that Blue Vanilla had this adorable, petite version with pom poms – I had to choose it!

It’s made from a woven rope and has wooden handles, with little fabric pom poms that have a pearly bead in the middle of each one. It’s lined with a fabric bag and drawstring closure as well, it’s amazing! You can fit so many items inside this bag and I’ve already worn it three times in the last week. I even took it to the beach with me (Barry Island in Wales) which you will see soon too.

The sizing is 22 cm wide and 19 cm high, so it’s a decent little bag. I cannot get enough of it! Especially for the price! It only costs £20 and with my discount code, that makes it £16. Lastly, we have the pop of bright orange from the Blue Vanilla Cross Detail Sandals. These are made from faux leather and remind me a lot of a famous design we see everywhere. They’re pretty comfortable and the burnt orange shade works really well with the crocodile print.

I took a UK size 6 in these as I’m usually a 6.5 in shoes, and they worked out to fit my foot exactly in length. You can size up or down though if you’re in between sizes and it would be fine as they’re pretty forgiving. I think these are fantastic as a pop of colour for the outfit, especially playing off of the dress colour.
