Pink Mulberry With A White Dress + Birthday Celebrations

I celebrated my 36th birthday 10 days ago, out here in Ohio, and it’s crazy to think just how quickly the time has gone. I remember when I just turned 30 and 6 years have passed already?! It definitely seems to be true when they say life speeds up as you get older.

For my birthday, Christen got me a gluten free chocolate fudge cake made with a UK and USA flag on, he took me to an escape room (which we failed as he chose the hardest room, ha ha), and for dinner at The Cheesecake Factory. I ended up getting free soup too from the kind waiter! For my gift, Christen got me the prettiest emerald green stone necklace from Kendra Scott as a surprise to go with my earrings that I purchased in St. Ives in July. I’ve included some birthday snaps at the bottom of this post.

Getting to this outfit though, I wore this in July on a beautiful summer evening and I think the simplicity of it with the pop of colour is really pretty. I was wearing a Hollister White Dress which has a skort underneath it, which I paired with my DUNE Merisa White Sandals, and a pop of pink from my Mulberry Lily in Pink Heavy Grain. I was also wearing a simple Peridot Birthstone Necklace from Edge of Ember. They make some great jewellery!

I have a few of these dresses in the same style, but in a different colour or print. I think it’s the prettiest! Hollister have really upped their game lately with their summer dresses and I can’t get enough of them! I’ve picked up a few more too, which I can’t wait to share with you as I’ve shot some photos already! The fluttery sleeves on this one and the elasticated bust is really comfortable.

Getting to the Mulberry Lily bag though, I saw this in the boutique in Bath a couple of weeks before and thought it was really pretty, so I went back a couple of weeks later, but I didn’t see it. I asked the sales assistant if they still had it, and she said yes, it was in the stock room. It was in the sale too for 50% off, so I got an amazing deal on it! I snapped it up right there and then, after asking for a brand new one and inspecting it to make sure it was all even and well made, with no flaws. It’s perfect! I’ve worn it a few times already and I brought it out here to Ohio with me. I just love how bold it is! You can’t buy this one anymore on the website, but I did find one on eBay that I linked to!

For my shoes, you saw these before in this post, and I brought these to Ohio too. They’re such a comfortable block heeled sandal that’s ideal for walking around and not being uncomfortable. I can’t recommend these enough, and of course, white goes with everything!
