A Long Brown Coat With Knee High Boots
Hey everyone! My cursor has been blinking here for 5 minutes while I try to think of something to write, and unfortunately, the writers block centered around my own personal posts these days is really strong. I have so much going on, as you know, I sound like a broken record at this point. None of it is getting better, it only seems to be getting worse, but this will be for another blog post.
For now, I am sharing an outfit that we shot in December and I only just got around to editing the photos a couple of weeks ago, and am now finding the strength to put the post together with pieces to buy etc. I would say that this is mostly a uniform staple of mine. I adore long coats and boots. Even though skinny jeans aren’t trendy anymore, I still love them. I will never stop loving them! So let me tell you more about this outfit below.
Buy these outfit pieces below:
The coat is a REISS Blindseam Belted Coat in Toffee. I got this in the autumn of last year and completely fell in love with it. It is sold out now in the Toffee shade, but Camel is still available, which I also own, and is gorgeous too! It’s super comfortable and lightweight, so it’s no good for the freezing cold days, but great for just the chilly days.
I layered my coat over my Stradivarious Mock Neck Top in Stone. I’ve got about 10 of these tops in three shades, owning about 3 of each colour. I’ve lived in them through the entire of winter, literally. I haven’t really worn anything else except these tops. I love them that much, and they’re affordable. ASOS still has my striped version that I love on sale for £8.50 (click here), but I think the stone is sold out, so I linked a similar one that I own too. Buy the striped one though! You will not regret it.
My jeans are my classic American Eagle Black Jeggings that I live in, as they’re the only jeans that fit me currently, but I also love them! I layered my Celine Triomphe Black Belt around the top too, to add a little flare, and to match one of the most important parts of this outfit…
My Celine Teen Triomphe Bag in Bronze! I got this in December of 2023 and have loved it ever since. I never really did a review of it as you can’t really buy this bag online as such, just from the Celine website itself, but if you would like a review, I can do that! It’s the perfect brown shade to complement my Toffee coloured coat in my opinion.
Then finally, I wore my DUO Freya Boots in Tan. I always love DUO as they do their boots in calf sizes, which is super important to me as I have small calves and need a size 34cm. Since they no longer do every cm size, I take a 35cm in these and it’s ok. I love the brown tone of these boots though and the suede is very luxurious! So this whole outfit is a mix of brown, black, and cream, with classic elements.
On a side note, I really have to say that I do not like any of the trends that are popular at the moment. I absolutely hate all of the baggy clothes and the revival of the 90’s. It’s so not me. So I haven’t been buying any new clothing lately at all, just a couple of key luxury pieces and that’s it. Anyway, please do let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below.

When you can create a beautiful elegant classic look like this, you don’t need to follow trends. Hope things start getting better for you and you can over come your writers block. 🙂 Having lived through the nineties, I agree with you. Its fashion needs to stay there. Not a decade to be revived. But I thought I looked cool at the time! 😂

Thank you! And I know! I thought I was cool at the time too, walking around with chewed up hems! Ha ha!
