My Top 35 Favourite Outfits Of All Time From 2017 – 2024
I thought I would share something a little different here and do a roundup of my favourite outfits of all time, split into two posts! I have been blogging since 2010, so I have 15 years of content, which is why I need to split this up! I am focusing on 2017 to 2024, and have come up with 35 outfits that I loved in those 7 years, and then in the next post I will do 2010 to 2016!
This was actually so much fun going through all of my old looks and seeing how my style used to be, how it’s changed and evolved over the years, some of the bags and clothing that I used to love and how that’s no longer in my possession etc. It was like a huge trip down memory lane!
Depending on how long you have been a reader of my fashion blog, Ford la Femme (formerly known as Raindrops of Sapphire), you may remember some, none, or all of these outfits. I would love to hear what some of your favourites are though!
None of these outfits are in order of my favourite, they are placed by date, from newest to oldest, so there isn’t one look here that I love the most and they’re not numbered as such. It’s all by date. So, lets get to checking out what the top 35 outfits are for me!
1. Starting with the very first outfit at the top, this was one I adored because I love soft floral tones and creams. I don’t usually wear much yellow, but this look was so feminine and cute, perfect for summer.
2. An edgy look with black straight fit jeans that have a faux leather back to them. I was combining all elements of black here in different shades and textures, finished with gold hardware. It’s still one of my favourite’s as it’s unique and classy.
3. This dress is one of my favourite dresses! The wrap detail and the leg split make it extremely flattering to my figure, while the knitted fabric make it slightly more casual. It’s something you can dress up or down.
4. Shorter skirts and over the knee boots were pretty much a staple of mine for years and I still love it! You will see a lot of combinations of skirts and boots in this post, but this might be one of my absolute favourites as I love the mix of a long coat to add some class to it, and the red tartan pop of colour.
5. This was a fun look from autumn and it encompasses gold elements. Gold boots, a gold dress, a beige knitted jumper etc., it was perfect for the time of year and gold is a colour I always love to wear. The different layers and dimensions to this outfit really pop.
6. I loved how this one turned out because I had never really worn a button up denim dress before, and the whole autumn vibe of this shoot for a brand was so much fun. I loved every second of it! It’s a little Western inspired and the hat really tips it into the region of cool and edgy.
7. My cowgirl inspired look! I picked up all of these pieces in the USA and I LOVE them all! I’ve always been a fan of Western inspired fashion and this whole combination makes me feel happy. I can’t wait to wear it again!
8. Denim maxi skirts were my thing for a while and I own them in various shades. This cream one was probably the most versatile of them all. Matching it with a crochet top and combining the cream with tan brown made for a very elegant, refined summer outfit.
9. Similar to look 8, I paired the same crochet top with a longer blue maxi denim skirt. Finished with boots and accessories, this is elegant as well, while being slightly more bold.
10. Another denim maxi skirt, but this one styled for the autumn weather. Pairing it with a blazer, a knit, and over the knee boots, you can really see the versatility in these denim skirts.
11. As I’m a huge fan of wrap style dresses that are knitted, this is another dress that I adore. Light neutral shades suit me the most and layering a camel coat over the top, with elegant heels, can really dress up a figure hugging dress with clingy fabric, adding a much needed refinery and class.
12. The tartan skirt again! I love this one! This time paired with tights and black ankle boots, with a turtleneck tucked into it. I wore this look for Christmas a couple of years ago.
13. Brown satin! This wasn’t a co-ord, but I made it one. I paired the same shade brown t-shirt, with brown satin trousers, finished with some snake print boots for a pop of fun in the elegance. I adore this one still!
14. I got this top in the USA, as well as the jeans, and it ended up being a staple combination for me. I paired it with brown sandals, a matching belt, and a Louis Vuitton bag. A simple, but cute look.
15. This was an outfit that I put together for a brand and it involved some cool mom jeans, an Allsaints leather jacket, heels and a YSL bag. Usually I don’t love mom jeans, but this particular pair was actually really flattering and I liked them with heels, edging it up with leather.
16. Another short skirt and over the knee boots combination, this time with a snake print leather skirt. Snake print can be quite bold and daring, so adding in the turtleneck and the classy long coat, really brings it down into the acceptable territory instead of looking trashy. This is still really high on my list.
17. I feel like snake print was a key print for me for a while! Combining my boots with a knitted beige skirt, an oversized knit, and my chestnut brown Celine Nano Luggage – it’s cosy and smart.
18. I would probably say that these are my favourite over the knee boots! I wear them all the time and this combination with the black skinny jeans, textured grey coat and monochromatic vibe is great. I no longer own that Chanel bag though, and I am still sad about that sometimes.
19. Again with the snake boots, this is a black bodycon knitted dress, but paired with a hat and edginess, to tone down the sexiness of the dress. Sometimes pieces that cling too much can look a little trashy, so getting the right styling is key. I love this one!
20. How fun is this? Little doggies on my shirt, combined with black skinny jeans, Louboutin Pigalle and my Chanel Boy Bag in Burgundy Velvet for a pop of colour!
21. Wellies used to be featured in my outfits a lot back in the day, as I would regularly do shoots in the rain and had a lot of fun rain boots. These are one of my favourites in this coral colour, but the pop of complementary tones from the scarf make it absolutely beautiful!
22. As I said, I’m a huge fan of neutral tones, this includes brown, cream, black and beige. This outfit here combines all of that and lots of different textures and shapes. I don’t know what it is about this simple outfit, but I adore it because of how it all works together.
23. Again, this is still a favourite to this day! Little horses on the shirt, white skinny jeans with a perfect fit, brown suede Jimmy Choo shoes (which I no longer own), finished with a Gucci Belt (again, I no longer own), and my Mulberry bag. I think tan brown looks so elegant with white! This shirt makes it playful and elegant at the same time.
24. I love this picture mostly because of the pastel tones. The pretty floral shirt, the pink bag, the grey jeans… it all encompasses spring for me and I still adore that now.
25. This was when I did a whole re-design of my blog and I shot some really cool photos to kick it off with. This outfit has always stood out to me as it combined dusky rose (my favourite shade of pink) with some feminine and edgy pieces. The ankle boots and oversized vibe of the knit tone it down a lot.
26. Another one that I shot for the re-design! This time with a fluffy knit, a faux fur coat, and the same boots and skirt. You can see how just a few tweaks change the entire look! This is one of my favourite shots of all time! The captured step was perfect.
27. Monochromatic in its best form! I love this outfit and always will. As I mentioned before, layering a long, classy coat over a shorter skirt and boots is a really good way to dress it up. Long coats add so much dimension to the shorter aspects of the other pieces and it creates one cohesive look.
28. Another one I adore! Bright yellow florals in an off the shoulder top with white skinny jeans, nude heels, and my Celine Belt Bag. Funny story with this bag, I actually sold it two years ago and then ended up regretting it. I found one online a couple of months ago, and it’s actually mine! So I bought my own bag back! Ha ha. How cool is that?
29. I remember getting my hair done and shooting these garden party photos for a brand on a beautiful summer evening. I love how feminine and chic this outfit is, but also the entire summer vibes memories I get from looking at the photo.
30. A different pair of snake print boots, this time paired with grey skinny jeans, a beige turtleneck and an aviator style jacket. Mixing monochrome again, with different textures.
31. Similar to the look with the little doggies on the shirt, this one features cacti! I loved this shirt so much that I ended up getting two of them, just in case I needed a backup. I no longer own that Balenciaga Mini City bag though, and sometimes I do regret that choice to sell it as well.
32. I wasn’t sure if I should put this one in as it’s a little unique, but I did because I loved how the shirt was asymmetrical and bold, paired with cropped bootcut jeans and velvet boots. It was so much fun!
33. Another one of my old favourites! A silk champagne shirt, white skinny jeans, brown ankle boots and a Gucci bag (I sold this one) makes for a really classy, elegant outfit.
34. Bright pops of coral here was fun too! I love coral and it’s one of those shades that suits my skin tone, along with dusky rose, so this skirt suit was just an injection of bold, bright and wonderful that I couldn’t resist. I probably wouldn’t wear it now as I don’t own any of these pieces (except the bag), but I loved it back then and still look back on it with fond memories.
35. Finally, this one was cute for me back then! I loved this burgundy coat and wore it SO much! It was the perfect shade. Styling it with stripes and lots of navy was one of the ways in which I enjoyed it. But in the next post, you will see a lot more of this coat styled in other ways too!
