Pretty Purple Prima Ballerina

So, I haven’t yet shared with you on Raindrops of Sapphire my own jeans. I’ve only shown them on DenimBlog quite a few months ago. These are my own jeans that I designed by myself for a brand called Prima Jeans. The brand was just launching and they asked me to design a pair for myself as a one off to keep for forever. This particular design I didn’t want to go into production.

I chose a really dark and clean blue for the wash of the jeans, I picked purple stitching to contrast it and I chose purples and pink for the signature Prima pocket design. The button also has a purple crystal in the middle and I opted for longer ankle zips with denim bows at the top of them. I love bows! Everything about these jeans is my own design, from the fit, the measurements, the pocket positioning and style to the aesthetics of the jeans. I’m actually really happy with the way they turned out and I love them so much! 🙂

I wore my jeans with my Christian Louboutin Fuxia Square Suede Declics, my ASOS purple top and my new Chamak swarovski bangles by Priya Kakkar.

I know these jeans are not everyone’s cup of tea but they are mine and I’m very excited I did get the chance to do this! I want to eventually have my own jeans line and be designing jeans for everyone to wear. That’s my goal! I do have a couple of things in the works at the moment with a denim brand which I can’t say anything about but I am very happy about it! I can’t wait to share it with you 😀

Lorna… wow, this is very cool. Please tell me how you did this? I’ll keep reading to see if I can find the answer but I have to know! My daughter, age 12, designed and made her own dress on a weekend this year and I think you’d be her biggest fan!! These jeans are incredible…

Thank you 🙂 I’m the editor of DenimBlog.com and I’ve been working with denim for a really long time and a denim brand asked me to do it with them 🙂 It’s not really something anyone can do, you have to be asked by the brand but there are websites online where you can customize your own jeans if you want to try that. And that’s amazing she did her own dress at 12! She seems talented!
