The Peplum And The Shearling

I think I can safely say that Autumn is my favourite time of the year for scenery. It’s just amazing when I look out and see the leaves turning orange, and the way the sun glares through the trees is just beautiful. I took these photos on Saturday while I was out and about with my boyfriend. Luckily I managed to avoid the rain though as it was on and off all day.

I’m wearing an old Faux Leather Fleece Collar Jacket, a Burgundy Peplum top and Velvet Hidden Wedge Trainers all from Topshop, my James Jeans Couture Jeans, a Shearling Bag and Mushroom Necklace from ASOS and a Disney Couture Apple Ring.

This top is actually my first item that’s in the form of peplum. I have always loved the trend and recognise it from the 80’s, but I never got around to trying it. Also, I’m temporarily trying out a few burgundy streaks in my hair at the moment. I was contemplating getting some permanent colour, however I wasn’t sure. I’m not great at having my hair dyed as I prefer it natural, but I have actually grown quite fond of them now I think! What do you think of them? And do you like the outfit?

I wasn’t sure that peplum tops would lend themselves well to layering, but clearly I have nothing to worry about, because this looks awesome.

I do like the burgundy strands of hair, but wouldn’t you get tired of them if you actually got them permanently dyed? I’m always scared of it, because I feel I would get tired of things quite fast =P
