A Vintage Looking Hat With A Kimono

(Jeans – Exact, Kimono – Exact, Shoes – Similar, Hat – Exact)

It’s getting a little bit difficult taking my photos in the rain, since the rain drops tend to make things a bit blurry and mark my clothes, but at the moment I don’t seem to have much of a choice. This is a look that I put together, styled around the hat and the kimono. I wanted to start by talking about this hat as it’s gorgeous! I got to choose it from Hats.com and I fell in love with it when I saw it. It’s called the cranberry Oksana Cloche hat and it has such an old fashioned vibe to it, it’s so pretty! I’m not usually a hat person, unless you count bobble hats for warmth, but I think this one actually suits me really well. I put my hair in a loose messy braid to go with the style of it and I think that’s what makes it work.

This kimono believe it or not is actually from H&M. I saw it on another fashion blogger about 6 weeks ago and it inspired me to buy it myself. I’ve never actually worn a kimono before, so I was pleasantly surprised at how flattering it actually is. I think the fact that it’s see through really helps as you can still see your silhouette through it, so it doesn’t swamp your figure. Plus the fact that it’s a mix of burgundy and black, I think it’s so beautiful! It’s really cheap too, it only cost £19.99! I layered it over a simple white t-shirt so the colour of it wasn’t lost. You could probably wear it with black as well for a more sleek look. Now onto the jeans, I got these from Hudson and they are the Hudson Stark Moto Jeans in Black. They are the brands latest moto style jeans and they are so pretty! They have zippers at the hips and the knees have a fanned denim effect, which is really unique. They are so detailed and beautiful. Usually I wouldn’t pair such tough jeans like this with more delicate pieces, but I do like mixing masculine and feminine pieces together, just to contrast things. Then to finish it off, I went with my Topshop black suede heels. What do you think of the outfit? Comment and let me know! Plus, don’t forget to enter my James Jeans giveaway!

Oh, and on another note, as it’s now really cold out, I have been looking into getting a couple more winter coats. I already have a burgundy one which I wear quite often, as well as a grey pea coat, but I’ve been looking at some fluffy winter coats which might just be that extra bit warmer. I’m also thinking I might need one that’s waterproof, I haven’t really got any waterproof winter coats and it can be a bit of a problem in the rain, ha ha! What’s your favourite coat you use for winter?

I like to see a silhouette through a kimono too, otherwise I feel like it’s a big muumuu! :-/ I also prefer longer kimonos with tassels but I adore the colors of this one! This whole outfit has great variance in texture, I like that!!

You look gorgeous in this outfit. The hat looks gorgeous on you and goes well with the messy braid. The kimono is light and stunning, surprise that it’s only £19.99 bargain for sure.

I also love the earrings you are wearing, they are very pretty and goes well with the whole outfit. I would have gone with black t-Hirt because it’s my favourite colour but it looks nice with white as well
