(Jeans – Similar, Gilet – Similar, Wellies – Exact, Hat – Similar, Gloves – Similar)
I hope you all had a really nice Christmas! I’ve taken a much needed break the last two days and have enjoyed spending quiet time just playing games and watching a lot of TV! I am definitely planning on doing a blog post from Christmas day with my presents and things, but I wont be able to do that until next week as my boyfriend has the camera.
I took these photos last week when I was in town for a short while. I’ve taken to wearing wellies/rain boots a lot lately as it’s just been pouring down with rain all the time. Shortly after we took these photos it started to rain again, so they are a popular choice among my footwear currently. I also wanted to say that I hope none of you have been affected by the small hurricane weather we have been having, I know so many have lost homes and businesses and had to be evacuated and rescued on Christmas day, my gran is included in that which I’m so upset about. Unfortunately her home has been flooded completely and she doesn’t have a house at the moment, so I know how bad everything has been this Christmas time and unfortunately the weather isn’t getting any better either. But I just wanted to say that I hope you are all safe and doing ok!
For this outfit, I wore my AG Adriano Goldschmied The Legging jeans in 12 Years Dwight with a simple long sleeved white tee from ASOS and my Topshop navy fair isle gilet. I did actually get pretty cold in this outfit, despite wearing the burgundy cable knit hat from Topshop and the faux fur lined burgundy fair isle gloves from Urban Outfitters. So I had another jacket to go over the top of this, but I didn’t shoot that in the photos. Of course I’m also wearing my trusty Hunter Original Tall Wellies in Navy Gloss! I wear a lot of simple and casual outfits at the moment as it’s not really the right weather for dressing up in.
On another note, have any of you taken advantage of the amazing sales going on right now? I did some midnight shopping online at Topshop and Zara and possibly spent a little too much of my money, but I’m excited for those parcels to arrive! I love the after Christmas sales though as there are so many amazing deals to be had! You might want to check out Urban Outfitters, Topshop, ASOS, Zara and Shopbop at the moment as they have some of the best deals going, so do Kurt Geiger! Just click the shop names to head to their sites! But best of all? Hunter are having an amazing sale! Great outfit Lorna, you always look great in your navy wellies. Wore my black ones today, even got to chat up someone wearing the same pair as me. I feel like us hunter boots wearers are part of a club or something. I guess its just knowing someone else shares the same great fashion sense as you.

It is always good seeing people out in them too, although there are a lot of girls here who wear Hunters so it’s never really a talking point as they are considered normal lol!

Not anywhere near as common as the women, but I know a few guys who love them and are obsessed with them. It depends where you go though, I live in the countryside so naturally I see a lot more wellies out and about lol.

Interesting that makes sense. I wouldnt say im obsessed as much as i think theyre what looks best on me. I have a preppy attire with rugby and polo shirts and jeans. I have a couple pairs of short shorts that are specifically for rugby matches but otherwise its polos, jeans and wellies.

Well having worn my pink hunters out only once so far i can only say some people find it strange and snicker, others (usually women) will say “nice boots!” Or “those are really cute!” which i appreciate a lot. Unfortunately i am not feeling them as much as i envisioned. As a fan of pink i looked forward to pink polos and pink and green rugbys pairing with them but it just comes off a little too feminine. I will however save them for breast cancer awareness month in october as breast cancer is prevelant in my family and i love wearing pink during the month to support it. I will definitely be wearing my white hunters in summer and sticking to my rotation of black, navy and red on a regular basis.

Hunters are my absolute fav. Im not too familiar with others but if you can shoot me some links id love to check out any ideas you have! As for a partner i am actually single. If you dont mind me saying, i think someone like you is my type. I know your seeing someone so i wont intrude but i would really love to meet someone just like you but here in the states! I wouldnt mind even doing matching boots too, im such a big fashion bug i can come up with tons of ideas!

I’m pretty sure there are plenty out there for you, after all you are in the rainy city! Have you tried Joule’s wellies? I have the black pair with pink ribbons at the back, but they do other wellies, some even have prints on! It’s another brand I like, both Joules and Hunter!
I will look into joules Lorna thank you. Its hard finding someone thats actually passionate about wellies. When i tell someone whos got a pair on that i own 5 they hardly react to it. I want someone that will wear them on a daily basis like i. Maybe someone with a pink pair so i have an excuse to match lol.

I like how you styled the wellies =) But I really really love the gloves!!! I need to get some gloves, but they never warm my hands… =X I think I need to get some leather gloves that are lined with fur inside for them to actually warm my hands =)
