(Jeans – Exact ON SALE, Blazer – Similar, Tee – Exact, Clutch – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Watch – Exact, Necklace – Exact, Bracelet – Exact)
I have always been a fan of the monochrome look when it’s in black, white and grey, but because of my addiction to colour, it’s something that I never usually wear. This year though I have made a promise to myself to try and do things that scare me and push my boundaries a bit, along with trying out combinations of clothes that I don’t usually entertain. For this outfit, I wore my new 7 For All Mankind Ankle Zip Skinny Jeans in Grey which I recently purchased on sale. I had been eying these for ages and I was so excited when I found them even cheaper! It was such an amazing deal! I took a size down in these jeans though, for those of you interested, as I heard they run really big, so you might want to take that into consideration when buying them yourself. They are absolutely amazing though! They have finally filled that void I had when it comes to grey jeans. These are the perfect shade, the perfect fit and are so comfortable! You will definitely be seeing these a lot more in up and coming outfit posts, that’s for sure!
To keep things classic, I chose to pair the jeans with a lighter Grey Topshop Tee, then layer my Zara White Blazer over the top and add my KG by Kurt Geiger Eleanor Gold/Nude Heels to the mix. I didn’t want to wear any black heels here as I thought it would be too harsh against the white and light grey, so that’s why I opted for nude. I think it compliments the overall combination quite nicely! I always love wearing skinny jeans, heels and blazers and a lot of you will probably know it as one of my staple outfits. Usually there will be colour in there somewhere, but I actually really love how fresh and smart this turned out without any. Now, for the accessories, I chose my new Zara Iridescent Clutch (which I got in the sale for £9.99) as I love how it shines and the silver matches the grey nicely, then I wore my new Topshop Aztec style Statement Necklace to add some interest around my neck, then I chose simple bracelets like my Butler & Wilson Star Red Bracelet, some other beaded options and my trusty Michael Kors Slim Runway Watch in Silver. I think throwing on a lot of jewellery to an outfit like this really brings it to life and makes it that little bit more unique. I often don’t like the combination of gold and silver together either, but I think in this instance it actually works quite well! What do you think of the outfit? Do you like it?

Those jeans looks amazing on you! The shade of grey looks so much like the James Jeans slate ones, you were right! I love the zipper detailing! They actually look really good with the white blazer, which is a combination I wouldn’t have expected!

I’ve seen other bloggers referring to similar looks of subdued colours as ‘Colour Silence’ and ‘Colour Detox’. An attempt at quiet subdued elegance to rest the eyes upon. It’s funny that such deceivingly looks actually scare you and push your boundaries, as you say. Maybe because colours make the outfit the attraction, but with neutral colours you, the person, and not the outfit will become the centre of attention ?
I just love what the jeans and heels do to show off your luxurious figure – You maintain this feel of timeless elegance while looking sexier than ever. You’re the best, Lorna !!
Sorry, it should have read ‘…such deceivingly simple looks….’

I guess it’s because I’m just really attracted to colour, I always have been. I always love to have something bright to look at in my outfit and smile at lol. It wasn’t particularly to showcase myself instead of the outfit, because it’s still very much about the outfit. I just generally love colour and always worry colourless outfits can be bland!
I also love neutral colors – they’re so classic! I do love your outfit here – very chic! The grey and white pair together very well. Your jeans are lovely, too! The zipper at the ankle is fab!
