I have been really excited about this little collaboration for quite some time, but it has been under wraps and kept a secret until today! Now, I can finally share with you this project I have been working on and showcase some fantastic shoes with you! Fellow fashion blogger, Caroline Blomst, has teamed up with the popular shoe brand, Deichmann, to create a 7 piece collaboration collection and it’s gorgeous! I was lucky enough to be able to try and style two of the shoes from the collection and this is what I came up with!
For those of you who might not be familiar with Deichmann, they have stores across the globe in 23 different countries and two of their flagship stores are here in the UK, in London. They have worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Halle Berry and Cindy Crawford and are now collaborating with bloggers, which I find to be fantastic! Caroline Blomst was one of those lucky bloggers who was able to create and design a collection with one of the leading shoe retailers and has a great sense of style herself. I expected a collection that was nothing less than beautiful and she definitely didn’t come up short!
The line features 7 different shoes, ranging from kitten heels and high heels, to boots, trainers and flats. It’s very diverse and there is something for everyone, no matter your style, height or preference! Want to know the best part about this collaboration though? It’s the price! The shoes retail from £17.99 – £27.99 and speaking from experience after wearing two of the pairs, I can definitely say they are very well made, extremely comfortable and easy to walk in, that’s before I even mention how pretty they are! Another bonus point is that they aren’t made of leather, so they are perfect for everyone! Find out more about the collaboration, my outfits and styling collages below! You can also shop the collection by clicking here.
These shoes are the Buckled Court heels in black and they retail for £24.99. I originally chose these to style as I loved the three straps across the top. I knew these would be incredibly easy to walk in as my feet were completely secure and not going to slip out at any point! Feeling safe in my shoes is something that’s of huge importance to me! Nobody likes to be walking along and their shoe falls off, or even worse, you fall to the ground and have to deal with the embarrassment of people looking on! The Buckled Courts have a heel height of 3.8 inches so they are just low enough to walk in without any pain, while still keeping that important height to lengthen your legs. I adore these and I actually got a lot of compliments from people when wearing them, they are a classic which you can’t go wrong with! I decided to keep a black and grey colour scheme, but wanted to liven things up as I love pops of colour! That’s why I opted for the fuchsia shirt to really make the look that little bit more fun and bursting with enthusiasm!
The other pair of shoes that I chose to style are these gorgeous Peep Toe High Front booties in black. I’m a huge fan of open toe ankle boots as I think that they add that element of playfulness to your outfit, all while remaining classic enough to be dressed up. These feature a 4.5 inch heel, but because they are a boot, you can’t even notice the height and I didn’t have any problems what so ever walking in these. I think the buckle around the ankle really adds that extra detail to the boots to make them stand out too. This is what I love about the collection in general, how wearable everything is, yet the attention to detail is high up on the list! Especially for the price! These Peep Toe High Front booties retail for £27.99 and I think that’s a steal! When I wear ankle boots that are on the dressy side, I like to be able to pair them with skirts and that’s why I opted for this deer/Bambi print one. It adds that necessary quirk to the look which I love and again, the purple satchel livens up the black and white! Which of my two outfits do you like the most?
Since I was only able to style two pairs of shoes from the Caroline Blomst x Deichmann collection, I wanted to show a couple of other ways in which I would create outfits. I completely fell in love with these Valentino inspired T-Bar Courts with studs and I instantly knew how I wanted to dress them up! When I think of kitten heels like this, my immediate thoughts drift towards mid length skirts which flare out with an A-line, much like a tulle skirt, but I wanted something bright and cheerful as Spring is right around the corner, that’s why I selected this beautiful red and pink floral skirt. As I would wear this type of skirt at the waist, I opted for a long sleeve cropped top to tone things down a little bit. Some heavy accessories like the gold chain collar, gold bracelets, butterfly watch and floral rings were needed to keep it feminine and the red rose clutch really added that romantic element that I wanted. I think the pop of red from the nail polish just ties everything together nicely too! This is an outfit I could definitely see myself wearing for Spring and I could imagine a lot of other personal style bloggers rocking too!
As this 7 piece collection features a lot of feminine heels and details, I was surprised to see a pair of trainers in the mix! But, as the sportswear trend has hit big time this season, I could definitely see why Caroline designed these. Unlike the popular neon versions which have flooded the market at the moment, these Lace Up Trainers are a little more subtle, even with the abstract dot print all over the front. I think the navy helps tone things down and the white and orange really adds that hint of athleticism to them. I knew that I wanted to create a comfortable and easy look for the trainers, which is why I chose these slouchy rolled skinny jeans in a light blue, but wanted to keep things quirky so I opted for a floral print bomber to layer over the top. If that’s a little too much for you, I have also chosen a navy and white varsity bomber jacket to keep things toned down instead. Throw on the grey beanie and add some silver jewellery and you are all set! I can definitely see many people sporting this sports look in the weeks to come!

Hi, Lorna, what a stunning post! I loved how much handy info you shared today. You look absolutely gorgeous in both outfits, the one where you are wearing a skirt is very elegant, and I liked your beautiful plaid on the first picture.

Never mind the missing rear view as long as you have the most amazing high-heeled legs in the world of fashion blogging. As usual, your combination of jeans + blazer works perfectly – But this time, the heels with three straps add a raw edge which makes this casually elegant look sooooo sexy.
You must really have turned some heads when shooting this outfit, since you got so many compliments ?
I’m not the type that approaches strange women with compliments – But for this one, it would almost be a crime not to acknowledge this amazing look.
Same thing goes for the second look – The peep toe heels add a raw sexy edge to an otherwise girlish chic look. Easily a contender for best look of 2014 – And you, Lorna, are the best !!

That’s very kind of you Karsten! Thank you! It’s women I usually get questions from or compliments when out, not guys, ha ha. The 3 strap heels here were what everyone seemed to love! They are great shoes! Glad you like them!
Agree with you – love peep toe ankle boots – think this pair would look stunning in different colours or maybe a snakeskin lookalike?
Author
They would actually, that would be cool!

The shoes!!! I just had to say, I love the two shoes you styled. For me, it really helps to see it all together in an outfit post. In my mind I would’ve put the high heel with the buckles with the skirt you wore, but I actually much prefer the peep toe ankle booties with it! Love the collaboration, Lorna 🙂 Great post!
Author
Thanks Jen! I think they could have gone with either, but the boots didn’t look as good with the jeans lol 🙂
I love those buckled shoes! These have a slight steam punk victorian kind of feel so unique love it!
