My New Marc by Marc Jacobs & Rebecca Minkoff Bags

I recently added two new beautiful bags to my growing collection, after having seen them online. Sometimes I am at fault of being too much of an impulse purchaser, however most of the time, I like to really think about what I want to buy and if I need it. I can say that the latter was the path I took for these new bags!

This beautiful Marc by Marc Jacobs Too Hot To Handle Flap Percy bag in Hot Coral (above) had been on my wish list since I saw it in the Marc Jacobs boutique in London, back in April. The colour is just fantastic and it had been about a year or more since I purchased any new Marc by Marc Jacobs bags, so I thought it was about time. The Flap Percy is a gorgeous style, it’s really slim, lightweight and elegant, plus it works as a clutch or a cross-body, depending on how you want to wear it. The colour is a cross between a neon pink and orange, making that perfect shade of coral that I love. It doesn’t have much of a depth to it as it’s quite flat, more like an envelope style clutch, but I don’t carry many items around with me, so it’s just fine for me! Isn’t it gorgeous? If you love this one too, you can buy it online here.

Next up (below) is my new Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Mini Affair bag in Tortora. You may remember me posting about this bag in my Currently Craving May wish list, so a couple of weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and buy it. The Rebecca Minkoff bags that I mainly have are the Mini MAC, Mini 5 Zip and the Mini MAB totes, so adding something a little more classic and sophisticated to my collection was a must. It’s a gorgeous grey tone with a very slight purple to it. It’s definitely not as purple as the photos make out on Shopbop, however there is a tint! It actually goes with so many of my outfits and as it’s a paler shade, it’s perfect for the Spring/Summer. The quilting is absolutely beautiful and the chain means the bag can be worn cross-body or doubled up to be a shorter shoulder bag. It’s actually pretty roomy inside and is really easy to wear! If you love this bag as well, you can buy it online here.

So, both of these beautiful bags are my latest additions! Which one do you like the most? Or do you like both? I really couldn’t choose as both of them are so different and work better for different occasions. But, comment and let me know what you think!

I love your handbags, I am can’t decide on which marc jacobs handbag to buy next its between the percy or Flap Percy Bag I just love them both. Just wondered to you use anything on your marc jacobs bags to stop jean ink transfer hanppening or to make then waterproof?

Hi Anna, I haven’t ever had jean transfer to my MbMJ bags, his leather doesn’t seem to attract ink. It only happens to me with Mulberry actually, so I’ve never had a single issue. Even when I have a bright yellow bag which I have worn loads, no transfer happened. I haven’t tried a white or cream one though.

    Nice jeans… lol
Bags and purses aren’t my thing… but I did like the watch with the humming bird. Does the bird rotate or is it just a static image? Wouldn’t it be cool if the bird spun round with it’s beak signalling the minutes?

Ha ha, that would be funny, confusing though! It’s just a static image, it’s an Olivia Burton watch. She’s one of my favourites!

I’ve been lusting after that Marc Jacobs crossbody for a while now. It is a fairly good size? Like can you fit a decent amount of things in it? That’s been my only holdback.

It truly depends on what you want to carry, it’s like an envelope style so it has no depth to it, but as long as you’re carrying slim stuff like a purse/wallet, phone, lip balm etc, you should be fine. That’s pretty much all I ever carry around with me. If you don’t mind it bulging though, then you could fit a lot more in there.

I’ve been hearing so much about Rebecca Minkoff bags these days! I don’t know if she’s become more popular lately or if I’m just late to the party. =) I like your choice though. I need to nice quilted bag to add to my rotation.
