The monochrome bodycon dress styled with a blazer
I’m going to be using this outfit as the start of my new look blog. I’m trying to give it a more professional feel and even though my layout isn’t yet updated (it will be soon), I’m already making sure I have better content for you all to enjoy. So, kicking it off, I got this absolutely gorgeous dress from Style Me Celeb to style together in an outfit and this is what I came up with.
The dress is called the Lucy Bodycon and it has a bandage feel in an ombre grey and silver monochrome shade. I’m completely in love with it! Not only is the design beautiful, but the fit is amazing too. It suctions you in in every way possible, enhancing the hourglass shape and the cross over detail on the chest does wonders for the bust area. I took a size M in this and I’m usually an S in most clothes, so I can say that this runs a little smaller than most brands as the material is really thick and sturdy, so make sure you know your measurements if you buy it! Getting to the outfit as a whole, I layered my new Zara Cream Blazer over the top to really dress it up and give it more of a sophisticated feel for an evening out rather than a night on the town. This blazer is a size XS for those who are wondering and it does run true to size, it also has little gold zips on the pockets and sleeves, to add extra detail which is what made me fall in love with it. For my shoes, I wore my ever faithful Christian Louboutin Pigalle 100 in Black Kid to give some height to my look and the black ties in nicely with the middle section of the dress. Finally, my earrings are my Azendi Pearl Drop Earrings which I have been wearing for a while, but they really do add a sense of elegance in my opinion.
If you are thinking that I must have been freezing when shooting these photos, you are correct! It was really cold, even the older ladies who were coming out of church on Sundays service were mentioning it, much to my embarrassment as they passed by, ha ha. I also wanted to say that I hope all of you New Yorkers and North East Coast residents are staying safe and warm! The weather is crazy right now!
