Ray-Ban Shrunken Aviator Sunglasses in Cyclamen Mirror Pink

My new Ray-Ban Shrunken Aviator Sunglasses in Cyclamen Mirror Pink

You probably know by now that I absolutely adore mirrored lens sunglasses. I already own Ray-Ban mirrored aviators in red, blue and green, as well as the Erika in mirrored turquoise, red and purple, so I definitely felt like my collection was missing a certain colour… pink! These gorgeous sunglasses lenses are actually called Cyclamen and the shade is a combination of orange, pink and purple, sort of in an ombre tone as you can see when viewed from the side, however, from a straight on view they are actually a full pink which is intense.

These sunglasses are absolutely gorgeous! I wasn’t sure on the frames at first as I am used to the regular aviator style, however I couldn’t find them anywhere with these lenses so I had to go for the shrunken aviator style instead. I think they are actually really nice and they suit my face a lot better than I had been expecting. I’ve already worn these sunglasses out twice now and I am definitely sure that they will be getting a lot of use in the coming months! As long as the sun is shining that is! What do you think of them? I’d love to know your thoughts! You can see them in action in one of my little Instagram videos by clicking here and you can buy these sunglasses online at Shopbop by clicking here.

You’re looking a bit reflective today, Lorna!

    Well someone just had to do that joke… Sorry… No, I’m not… Couldn’t resist… 😉

I’d never choose reflective sunglasses for myself; I think I just look a little bit too sinister in them. LOL However, that’s certainly not an issue for you. 😀 They suit you really nicely (both in terms of colour and shape) and they’re shouting out “summer” loudly enough to convince me that it is.

All 5 of these portrait photos are beautiful – but the first one is absolutely brilliant. 🙂

Thank you so much Steven 🙂 I’m so glad you like the photos! And even if that joke was terrible (which it was!) I still laughed 😀 Well, chuckled I should say lol! They really are so summery, I love them so much 🙂 I thought the location with the pink tree was perfect too!

Terrible jokes are the only kind I can do. 😀

I’d call that colour ‘crimson’. It’s a friendly colour so it doesn’t give the same menacing impression as black reflectors. Ever see the movie ‘Cool Hand Luke’? If you haven’t; there’s a character in it who demonstrates that effect perfectly.

Isn’t crimson more red? I’ve always seen it as a red shade. I haven’t seen that movie though.

Strictly speaking, crimson is a general term that covers everything from pale pink to deep red. I’ve always used it to describe a strong pink similar to those lenses; just picked that up by imitation of older people when I was a child.

The movie’s worth seeing; it’s a classic with Paul Newman and George Kennedy.
