A white Grecian style dress on the beach
Another set of photos from St. Ives to share with you! Firstly though, I wanted to say thank you so much for the support you gave me in my previous post about the M.E. I honestly wasn’t expecting to get such a good response from it, but it’s had over 700 views already in 2 days and lots and lots of supportive comments. It really makes me happy to be able to spread awareness about it and share something personal with you all.
So getting to my outfit, this is a look that I wore on the first day that we went to the beach on holiday. I didn’t realise at the time, but the sun is so strong there that it did actually turn my skin a shade of pink which I can now see on the photos. It’s crazy how just going a little further south can intensify it that much! I was wearing my Zara Grecian style dress that I have had for a couple of years and just teamed it with some colour from my Ray-Ban mirror pink aviators and then I wore my Olivia Burton butterfly watch. It’s just a really simple look as it was so hot and I was barefoot on the sand, which even with my germ problems, I actually quite enjoyed!
I was thinking the other day, it’s been a really long time since I got a new watch. There’s so many ladies designer watches, like these from Tesco, out and about that it is hard to choose, especially since I have quite a collection already. The funny thing is that I often find myself wearing the same watch all the time, so maybe I do need to pick up a new one at some point! Do you have any cute recommendations that you think would suit me? As always though, I’d love to know what you think of my look and the location! I just love looking at the sea in the background, it’s like a whole new country!

Such an idyllic location. A clear blue sky and a lovely calm sea. I think I’d have gone in for a little swim for sure. 🙂
The dress is very pretty and looks perfect for the location – and I think your watch is absolutely brilliant. It’s another set of really beautiful photographs.
I love how you’ve cleverly created the illusion, in both these sets of beach pics, that you had the entire beach to yourselves – at least I assume it’s an illusion… If not then you’ve indeed found paradise down there. LOL It must take a lot of patience when you do these shoots in very public places – what with all the passers by passing by?

Ha ha, yeah it’s an illusion, I always wait for people to move or angle it so that you can’t see them. There were some people around, not a huge amount, but there was one guy who was always lying on his towel in his speedos, so I had to make sure that wasn’t captured! Ha ha! But it wasn’t hugely busy! I’m really glad you like it 🙂 Trust me the sea was freezing though, I thought it would be warm, but upon putting my feet in it, it was not, ha ha.
Yeah, that’s the trouble with sea swimming – you can only get in gradually. Not like pool where you can just jump in and get the agony over in seconds. 🙂 Last time I was at the beach I had a swim – albeit I went in with my t-shirt still on… there are limits as I’ll admit it was a bit cold. I’ll have to see if I still have the photo of that and shove it onto Instagram if I have. People tell me I look like I’m drowning in that photo – but I was having a lovely time! 😉
It’s nice that there weren’t too many people about when you were on holiday. I guess that’s the advantage of going in June. I suppose once the schools have kicked out for summer it’s a whole different story. 🙂

Yeah I can’t say I would get in, there were a lot of people there swimming, but also people paddle boarding too. Even though it was freezing they didn’t seem to care! Ha ha 😀
