Burgundy Knee High Boots With A Suede Skirt And Roll Neck Top
I’m back with a new outfit to share with you! Finally! This is one that I have had planned for about a month actually (which is why it’s slightly Autumnal in colouring) so I’m finally happy to have been able to shoot it on the weekend. It’s very 70’s inspired, but I love trying things that are different to what I usually wear and I never often wear short skirts like this, so it makes a change! Unfortunately recently after getting over the mild pneumonia, I’ve had some more health problems and yesterday was really ill again, spending most the day asleep on the sofa, so even though the doctor said my lungs are clear and my oxygen is back to 100%, I’m battling with other problems at the moment. It truly does seem to be one thing after another right now, I’m just holding out hope that it will all go away soon.
So getting to this outfit, I was wearing this pretty faux suede Lucca Couture skirt which I paired with this Michael Stars burgundy roll neck sweater. I adore this top as I’ve been wearing it so much! To keep with the colour theme, I went with my Ted & Muffy Ismene cherry knee high boots and then added some warmth and layers with my Topshop trench coat. For my accessories, I added my Maison Scotch floppy hat (which I almost lost 4 times due to the wind!) and then finally chose my MCM Rabbit cross body clutch in their monogram print (buy it here), which I have had for a while but never shared here before. Overall, I really quite like how it turned out, but I think it would have been better when it was warmer like I planned. I’d love to know what you think of this outfit, so please do comment and let me know!
What I Was Wearing:
Skirt – Lucca Couture
Top – Michael Stars
Coat – Topshop
Boots – Ted & Muffy (similar)
Hat – Maison Scotch
Bag – MCM (similar)

I suppose it might’ve been better for you if the weather had been warmer – fair enough. But we can all look at these beautiful photos and imagine that it was a warmer day. 🙂
It’s a fabulous set of photos and two words immediately come to mind as I’m looking through them. “Enigmatic” and “Mysterious”. 🙂 I especially like the 6th photo where you’re almost blending in with your location in some ways but utterly dominating it in others. I hope you understand me – it’s very hard to describe what I mean. 🙂
Anyway, I love the outfit. I like the colours and the shapes – and I think it shows off your figure beautifully too. I also like the location. 🙂
I always feel a bit nostalgic when you give a nod back to the 70s due to being born far back enough into that decade to just about remember the last few years of it. It’s certainly a good 70s colour palette. I don’t think I recall anyone in my old home village dressing as nicely though. 😉 lol

Thank you so much Steven 🙂 I’m really glad you liked it! I can see what you mean about the location too with the wall, it did work out quite well actually. That’s a shame nobody dressed like this though back then, by you anyway lol!

You look simply stunning Lorna. The outfit is so elegant and sophisticated. I love the ‘seventies influence, and the bunny purse adds a fun, playful touch. Sorry to hear you’ve had some further health problems. I hope you feel better soon.
