Blush Pink In The Enchanted Gardens

Blush Pink All Saints Aleida Blazer With Grey Jeans

A couple of weekends ago, Adam and I headed into the ‘senses garden’ which is in the park in town. It’s designed to have sounds, sights and smells for those who want to enjoy the senses and it’s beautiful. Not only is it filled with gorgeous flowers, it has a pretty pond in the middle with a fountain and animals everywhere. Every time we go there we always take some nuts and seeds as the squirrels and birds are often hungry, so it’s such a pleasure to sit there, enjoy the sun and connect with nature. I feel like a modern day Cinderella when they all come over to us for food, sometimes even going through our bags themselves. It’s such a wonderful experience and I could honestly stay there all day.

Since the weather is finally warming up and there’s shades of pink everywhere from the cherry blossoms on the trees, I wanted an outfit that was perfectly matching with neutrals and baby pink, so for this outfit, I was wearing my new All Saints Aleida Blazer in Blush Pink which I picked up at the store a couple of weeks ago. It was an impulse purchase, but I fell in love with it and  blush pink tones seem to be the colour of the moment for Spring. I took it in a size UK 8 (I’m usually a UK 6) as it’s meant to have an oversized fit to it, but it’s absolutely gorgeous! I layered it over my Oasis Perfect Crew and then went with my J Brand Maria Jeans in Dove Grey to give it that neutral vibe.

To spice things up a bit and add an element of pattern to the outfit, I opted for my Ted & Muffy Medusa Boots as they are a great mix of neutral shades but with the fun of the snake print and then I finished it all with my Chloe Mini Drew Bag in Motty Grey, adding another grey tone to the mix. I wasn’t sure at first if all of these muted hues would blend together well as some are on the cooler spectrum while others are warmer, but they ended up working harmoniously. These are some of my favourite photos of this year so far actually as I love the contrast of the scenery with the delicate colours. I would love to know what you think of my outfit? Please do comment and tell me!

Awww, that squirrel is so cute! That last squirrel pic is wonderful – looks about to break out into singing a bit of opera or something. 😀 I wish I could take some squirrel photos half as good but the squirrels of Lincoln are just not brave/tame enough to pose for photos. There are plenty of them in the park but they’re so shy!

Your outfit is lovely. 🙂 The grey jeans and the soft pink jacket work together very nicely indeed. I might try wearing pink and grey together myself after seeing how brilliantly you’re doing it. 🙂 It’s great to see those amazing boots again too!

Maybe that’s a good thing they aren’t so tame though as some people really don’t like them. I had to bite my tongue in the park as this older group of people made me angry, saying they hate squirrels and would shoot them and tried to shoo them off. It took a lot of strength not to say something to them. Who do they think they are?! When another lady was really sweet and held back from walking by so the hungry squirrel could eat his nuts. He was starving, he must have eaten about 35 nuts one after the other. Poor guy.

Really glad you like my outfit though 😀 I thought you would with the grey jeans, since you love it. You should definitely try the pink and grey combo though, it works really well it seems!

People who don’t like squirrels really ought to think about staying away from parks – that would be my most polite suggestion to them. :O What sort of nuts do you take to the squirrels, by the way? I’ve never tried feeding them. Mind you, I don’t like nuts so it’s not something I usually keep in my cupboards. 🙂

Yes, this outfit was always going to be a winner for me. Those jeans are an especially gorgeous grey. 🙂 I have quite a lot of grey clothes and quite a lot of pink clothes too but I don’t think I’ve ever combined them. So, yes, I will try for sure.

I know, they should right? Idiots! We buy specific nuts for the squirrels, they love the little brown peanuts, or you can buy the full large peanuts in the big shell, they shell them on their own. Those are their favourite. Out of every nuts, those are like their heaven lol. They will always take those ones! I don’t like nuts, so yeah, buy a bag! It’s only a pound or so 😀 They will be thankful to you I’m sure! Definitely let me know when you try the outfit as I want to see 😀

Certainly, yes, I’ll tag you on Instagram when I wear pink and grey. 🙂 It’ll not be as beautifully subtle as your look though as all of my pink clothes are of the much more vivid kind. LOL

Where do you buy these squirrel specific nuts?

Oh you can get them in the supermarket (the big peanuts) or you can head to a pet shop and just find bags of the shelled peanuts in the bird seed aisle, they are all over 😀

Senses garden sounds like a really lovely place to visit to get away from the noise of the world and to take a break from the online world. Good shot on the squirrel, I thought they are usually very shy so I’m surprised you managed to get a shot of it.

It depends on the people I think and the location. Squirrels have always been extremely friendly towards me which I assume is because I’m quite small and quiet as a person, so they sense no threat. It depends how you’re acting and what they have experienced I think and where you come from, I guess in other areas they might be shy. It’s definitely a lovely garden though!

Lorna you look absolutely exquisite as always! I love the way you’ve styled the outfit, and all the tones work together perfectly. I especially love the pink jacket, and snakeskin boots. Very sassy! The surroundings are so lovely and I love the images of the robin and squirrel.

    I hope you’ve been well.

That is a rather lovely coat. Over the white top, that Blush Pink is perfection.
Would that I could be a size 6 or 8 even. That would be heavenly.

Thank you! I’m so happy you like it and love the blush pink, it’s definitely a gorgeous shade! I’ve not seen a red squirrel in years, we used to have a lot when I was little, but the grey ones seem to be the most popular now. Still adorable though!

Yes. Like those. I love the print and fullness of the first one. Though would that I could, would make it more pouffy I think that style in frothy tulle and white lace would be heavenly. x.
