If you have ever been to the City of Bath, you will know that it’s got the most beautiful architecture. It’s one of a few world heritage cities left and the architecture is mostly Georgian, meaning the intricate detailing on the buildings is exquisite. Rather than using a lot of the same locations, I thought I would change it up a bit and head to The Circus, which is a famous circle of buildings with a grass island in the middle that holds trees (see here and here).
It’s rather similar to the Royal Crescent and isn’t too far away (just a street between them) from it in terms of location, so it might look familiar in some way, but completely different in others. Most of the buildings now are used for offices or surgery’s, so it’s not quite as fancy as it used to be, and of course there are no regular horse and carts going up and down the once cobblestone road, but… it’s still absolutely gorgeous and underrated in my opinion.
Now I could go on and on about my city and how lucky I am to live in Bath among such heritage that people travel across the globe to see, but I am hoping to include more of that within each outfit post that I do from now on, as long as the location is worthy of mentioning (by that I mean not just a brick wall). So, given my dislike of crowds and lots of tourists, I am going to try and do my shoot locations in areas that have a story and history to them. Now the summer is over, that should be a lot easier, but we will see! I just want to be able to share such beauty with those of you who haven’t seen it.
Getting too my outfit, I didn’t think there was a huge amount to talk about this time around actually as it’s quite a mismatch of items. I actually put this together last minute as the weather had changed (meaning it had stopped raining – and no I’m not joking!) so I didn’t need my rain clothes. I didn’t actually plan all of these pieces to go together, but in a way, they do. I was wearing my Joules Vegetable Print Shirt which I styled with my PAIGE Hoxton Crop Skinny Jeans. I then added my Gucci Dionysus Mini Bag and my Gucci Princetown Floral Loafers, finished off with my BVLGARI LVCEA Watch.
I do really adore this shirt actually since it’s got radishes, flowers, and other things on it, which makes it quite unique. Since I wanted to dress it down though, that’s why I went for a lighter wash blue denim with distressing, just to keep it casual. Flats are generally something I favour and I can’t ever get enough of these loafers, so in a weird and wonderful way, it all came together, despite looking like it doesn’t match. If that makes any sense at all? Anyway, let me know what you think of this outfit that I put together, and what you think of the location! Plus, for those of you wondering, yes I was standing in the middle of the road for these photos, moving out the way every 10 seconds or so for cars to go by, ha ha. As always, shop the items just below too! Lorna xx.

I think you would love it, John! It’s very different to the desert 🙂
Radically different as is the difference between Las Vegas weather and my home state of Michigan. Apples and oranges.
I hope you’ve been feeling well Lorna. Your shirt looks comfy and natural. ☺️

Super cute outfit. I remember Bath well when I was there about 11 years ago…and The Royal Crescent! That city had such a magical aura to it. You definitely are lucky to live there 🙂

This is such a cute shirt and I absolutely adore the Bath setting – it’s one of my favourite places in the UK! Also, i had no idea you could have initials embroidered onto the Gucci Dionysus? That’s such a chic touch I’ve not seen before!

Oh no, that’s not my initials embroidered, it’s my watermark for my photos to stop theft. People steal my photos all the time and this way I know they’re mine. So glad you love Bath too!
Stunning outfit, love your shoes!

Lorna I love the whimsical vegetable print on the shirt, which makes it fun and unexpected. It goes beautifully with the embroidered loafers and light blue jeans, and your bag and watch look impeccable! The location is incredible too. It’s lovely learning more about the city of Bath through reading your posts and seeing your pictures. It’s a fabulous idea to include more background info on notable Bath locations in your outfit posts. I look forward to that!
Lots of love Saba xx

Such a pretty and quirky shirt and lovely jeans too. 😀
I don’t mean to be argumentative but I’m far from convinced that those are radishes on your shirt – I think they’re actually turnips! I might be wrong… but that’s how they look to me. 😀
Anyway, whatever the vegetable is the shirt has a lovely cottage garden kind of vibe to it. Such a great item. 🙂
Author
Oh you might be right regarding the turnip! I think it’s got both, there’s some with the long green stems and some without! Are they both turnips or one of each? Ha ha 😀
Ah yes! I see both now. The turnips are the big, fat, mostly white ones with a bit of pink at the top. The radishes are smaller, more pink, and have a mass of leaves. 😀 Good that we’re both correct in the end. 😉 There’s the beginnings of a decent soup here… 😀
Author
Ha ha, yeah that worked out! Although I did think they were both radishes to be honest, so it does work in both our favours and I was educated, ha ha 😀
Do you know how hard it’s been for me to resist making a terrible pun about “jeans with turn-ips” since I first saw these photos? Sorry… had to let it out. 😀 😉

Lol! Well, you can make that joke on some of my up coming outfits I am sure!
