Leopard Faux Fur Coat Outfit

Faux Fur Leopard Coat Outfit

Keeping in line with my resolution of wearing my pieces multiple times and re-creating outfits with them, rather than buying everything new this year, this is my second look of 2018 doing just that. Every single item that I’m wearing here is something you have seen before, numerous times for some of them, but styled in a completely different way. The thing I’m enjoying most about this is the fact that it’s saving me money as it’s been really tight the past few months, but it’s also giving a new lease of life to my wardrobe and showing how much versatility some of the items have. Obviously I’m not going to go the entire year without anything new at all though as that’s not possible in this line of work, so I have saved room for about 3 purchases off my wish list, of which I will share with you very soon in a 2018 wish list blog post!

Now getting to the actual outfit, I opted to wear my Cupcakes & Cashmere Faux Fur Leopard Coat again (see it here before), this time layering it over my Allsaints Roll Neck Jumper (see it here). It was a tight fit as this coat is slim and the jumper is thick, but it was needed in the freezing temperatures (I’m sure you can spot my pink skin, ha ha). I wanted to go with more of a colourful theme, but in an Autumnal palette, so I chose my 7 For All Mankind Burgundy Skinny Jeans (see here) to tuck into my Sam Edelman Blake Boots, which I’ve worn so many times I can’t count. I then added on my Valentino Mini Lock Bag in Light Ivory as a finishing touch to add some elegance to the overall look. This Valentino (Click Here – ON SALE) has came in useful for so many looks!

This wasn’t actually an outfit that I had planned in advance, it was something that I threw on at the time and I wasn’t sure if I liked the boots with it or not, but I went with it. I know faux fur leopard coats are still a huge trend at the moment and so many different retailers have their own, so I’m glad I got to style it again as I think the more that fashion bloggers show these leopard coats can be worn in a classic and fashionable way, the more they will lose their stigma over time. I know Cat Slater from Eastenders always springs to mind when I think of them. Anyone else? Ha ha. This one by Cupcakes & Cashmere though is really elegant. Anyway, let me know what you think of this outfit in the comments below! Plus, don’t forget to scroll down as there’s some more text and different photos!

And below is where we first started off shooting the photos in amongst the Autumn leaves. It had started to get dark in the park though at around 3:30pm and this excitable dog had chose to come running over to me to play and step on my boots, so I was cautious, but he was adorable. I’m sure I have a radar for animals, wherever I am, they find me as they know I’m friendly, ha ha. We had to vacate the park though as he was starting to make my boots muddy and we weren’t able to do the photos, which is why we settled on the street for the final location. I did like these two photos though with the orange leaves, so I’ve included them anyway as an addition to the blog post. Which location do you like most? Lorna xx.

What I Was Wearing:
Coat – Cupcakes & Cashmere
Jeans – 7 For All Mankind
Jumper – Allsaints
Bag – Valentino
Boots – Sam Edelman

I liked both locations, Lorna! It’s like that, when someone is nice, dogs feel it, or any pet, or a reindeer and they go towards a friendly person -and you are very friendly and nice! I liked the Sam Edelman boots very much and the jeans, too, and the coat is super beautiful! It’s really great to have such a resolution, but you are right, it’s not possible to spend the year without something new – but again, congratulations for the resolution! You always look amazing and today is not different! Hope you enjoy a nice week! Hugs!

What with me being a bit older than you (I use “a bit” very loosely… maybe I should say “much” instead) I still most associate leopard print clothing with Bet Lynch in Coronation Street – even though it’s about 20 years since she was in the show… 😉 I mention it though as it’s quite an off-putting mental image as she was such a brash, larger than life character who usually paired the leopard print with OTT earrings of some kind. LOL

However, your image in these photos is nothing at all like her. 🙂 You’re doing great things here to improve the image of this pattern. Yours seems a much more casual and relaxed take on the leopard look. Those jeans are a great choice to go with the coat as I think the leopard requires that very different colour to both enhance the look as well as to prevent it being too overwhelming I think the boots are a nice touch too – I’m a bit curious as to why you are unsure of them in this outfit. To me they seem a fairly natural and logical addition – especially so among the leaves and autumn type colours of nature. 🙂

    Really nice look. 🙂

I actually remember her well, not from my time obviously, but from previous years. I find Cat Slater the younger version, ha ha. Both just as tacky! 😀 I’m glad I’m making it look more natural and respectable though, I think it can be fashionable when it’s done right, so it’s good to know I did it well 🙂

I love the colours in this outfit – everything works so well together. Of course it looks great in both locations, as it’s such a good outfit you can’t go wrong wither place. Looks nice and cosy for your cold weather too 🙂

You can come up with so many outfits when you mix and match what you already have – I ended up not missing shopping as much as I thought I would when I did my 6 months without shopping challenge last year! 🙂

Hope you are having a good week so far, and a lovely start to 2018!

I remember you doing yours, Mica. I was always intrigued with how you were styling all your different pieces 🙂 Hopefully I might find it ok and manage to stick to it as much as I can! Really glad you liked the outfit 🙂

This is definitely the time of year for faux leopard: it fits perfectly under the winter cloudscape. Great pick.

That’s such a cool and chic outfit dear! Leopard fur coat looks absolutely gorgeous with burgundy skinny jeans. It makes the pattern of the leopard print and the color of the denim pants pop out even more because of the beautiful contrast.

That’s such a great resolution for the year. There’s also nothing like a great coat to take you through winter. It doesn’t get overly cold where I live so a coat isn’t exactly necessary but still! Who can resist!

I like both locations! And that coat is fabulous. I really like your resolution too. I’ve been trying my best to restyle the items in my closet too, instead of buying new. 🙂
