A Bit Of Christmas Camo In Town
How is it already a third of the way through December? It’s crazy! And to think that Christmas is only 16 days away… That’s just over 2 weeks and I’m not even prepared in the slightest, ha ha. We have our decorations up, but that’s about as far as that goes! I’m doing a December life update in my next post, as requested to keep that a monthly feature, so I will talk more Christmas-y things then, but for this outfit post, this is my first one with a Christmas theme that I am sharing with you. I’m mixing it in amongst my Autumn photos that I have to publish, so it’s going to be an eclectic mix of different backgrounds until December is finished!
These photos were taken in Abbey Square in Bath which is the courtyard area outside the Bath Abbey and just outside the Roman Baths, so it’s right in the centre of town. They have taken to putting the giant Christmas tree here for the last two years, which I think is a great idea as at night time it looks magical, however since it is the most busiest part of town, it’s really hard to get photos without any people in… Usually I go for quieter locations or spend loads of extra minutes waiting for people to pass, so I can get a clear shot, but that wasn’t possible with these if I wanted the tree. However, I think having all of the people in the background, when it’s Christmas themed, really gives it an atmosphere and shows how lively that area of town is, and I quite like it. It’s different for me and it makes it not so much about the outfit at all, and more about the photos as a whole.
Now getting to the outfit, I didn’t want to focus too much on it as almost all of the items I’m wearing are older, but a lot are classics too. So I was wearing a Camo Parka Faux Fur Parka Coat that I got a couple of years ago, and I can’t remember the brand unfortunately, but I layered it over a warm long sleeve top and styled it with my PAIGE Margot Black Skinny Jeans. I’ve worn these PAIGE Margot Jeans so much recently and they seem to be the pair I gravitate towards for comfort because of the high rise and stretchy denim, so I definitely recommend them! I then added in my River Island Chenille Scarf, a new Topshop Brown Bobble Hat that I just purchased on the day (turns out it complemented the coat perfectly) and then finished it off with my Balenciaga Race Runners in Black. I did have some mittens, but I wasn’t wearing them for the photos. It was actually freezing on this day, which is why I’m quite pink, and this outfit wasn’t even warm enough, ha ha. Anyway, let me know what you think of these photos and if you’re enjoying my Christmas content or not? Lorna xx.

It must have been really cold for that outfit to not be warm enough as it looks so cosy! It’s a cute coat and I like the green of the camo with the red scarf underneath for a subtle Christmas theme! 🙂
Hope that you are having a great weekend 🙂 We spent the day yesterday at my parents catching up with family, it was so fun 🙂

Looking like such a festive December dream in these stunning photos! I adore the gorgeous twinkling tree and the shots you got, I definitely agree that the people in the background add to the effect. Abbey Square looks and sounds amazing, Bath never fails to look mesmerising. It can be so hard trying to get those quiet shots can’t it! Especially during all the festive rush. These photos came out magically though, pure perfection! I love the parka and bobble hat, so stylish and stunning for the Christmas season and all the pure winter wonderland vibes this outfit is emitting! I hope you have the dreamiest December and the most magical time as Christmas approaches ♥︎

This is such a great cozy look. I especially like your scarf. I love to wear chenille items this time of year because it’s such a soft cozy fabric.

This month has gone by pretty fast. I can’t believe we are at the end of the year already. I like your camo coat. I never considered wearing the print on outerwear but you styled it so effortlessly that I might give the print a try.

Oh wow! I absolutely love the coat! I don’t recall seeing it before in any of your posts – but maybe my memory is failing me on that. Either way it’s a terrific look. I love the hat too – I could very happily wear that myself as I wear a woolly hat with every outfit at this time of the year. 🙂
