A Faux Fur Coat Outfit In The Snow
Remember when it snowed? I still have a few photos to share with you from that weekend. These were actually the first set we shot and it was a blizzard out, so really I only have 4 photos and that was a push getting those, the rest of them are outtakes because my hair was everywhere and my face was screwed up from being freezing cold, ha ha. I really do like how these came out though as I’ve edited them to have a vintage appearance, and it reminds me so much of Narnia! I’m assuming most of you have seen The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe? If you haven’t, click here because Narnia is amazing! It just gave me vibes of that and I love it.
I was wearing my Zara Faux Fur Coat which you have seen before, here and here, and layered it with my Brown Fluffy Zara Jumper again as I love that combination. I then chose my Pretty Little Thing Checked Trousers and added in my Louis Vuitton Reversible Belt to the mix to tone it down. These trousers actually have a ruffled waistband (remember this outfit?) and I tucked it under to create a different look, then finished it off with some flat boots. I did brave the cold snow for this look as my feet ended up freezing and I quickly changed to wellies, but shh, don’t tell anyone!
As far as colour goes in my outfits, I’m sure you have noticed that I’m mostly only wearing neutrals these days and not really opting for anything too bright. If I do go for a colour, it’s usually a muted shade and I’m really enjoying it. I feel like as I get older, even just by the months, my tastes are changing a lot and becoming a lot more classic too. There’s some amazing pieces that I have just picked up from Mango and I wouldn’t usually wear them, but they’re perfect for the warmer weather. I’m putting together my Currently Craving Wish List next for this month so I will share everything I’ve purchased in that, along with some other things! Anyway, please let me know what you think of my outfit and if you like the Narnia inspired photos! Lorna xx.

The setting was so beautiful!
Hi Lorna
Those are lovely photos, something quite romantic about them, I think because your fluffy coat and jumper give off a cuddly vibe. I like the second one best, you look so relaxed. But your poor feet must’ve been like lumps of ice – no wonder you reverted to wellies. I just hope you had some thermal sox the help thaw your toes and a mug of hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows to have in front of a roaring log fire once you when you got inside. Bless you for braving the elements, but the good news is summer’s now on its way. Gotta love the sun!!! π
Have a great weekend

Glad you liked them, James! You’re right, they are cosy at the same time! And I don’t like cream or marshmallows, ha ha. I actually did multiple shoots after, so I’m always braving the elements in one way or another π
You ankles had to be cold. Have a great weekend.

The combination of a furry sweater with a teddy bear coat is simply perfect. Such a great winter styling. Here it is quite cold today, and it’s raining so I can imagine wearing something like this.

We did not get too much snow this year. And funny I just watched this again for the first time in years. I love these shots and the capture of the snow coming down. That coat is very fun and looks wonderful in the snow. And oh my your exposed ankles are making me cold lol. But you don’t look cold at all

Aww… so cute how you appear to be stood in a little hole in the snow. π These shots fascinate me because I’m try to work out how on earth you got into that position without leaving any visible footprints in the surrounding snow. π
The outfit is lovely. π The checked trousers look great and the top and the coat look nice and warm – though maybe nothing is quite warm enough for such a day. Nice little dash of bright colour in your lipstick which really draws the eyes into the photo. I’m certainly getting the Narnia vibe.

Ha ha, I was careful and only left a few, but Photoshop sorted that out as I wanted the illusion that I was just placed in the snow! So well spotted, I removed the prints π Glad you like it!
Oooh, top marks for sneaky. π Good work.
