It’s been quite a few years since I did a Q&A and answered some of the standard questions, as well as some of yours, so I thought I would update you with one! You can see all of my previous Q&A posts by clicking here, and if you do have a question for me, leave it in the comments below and I can answer! Lorna xx.
How old are you?
I’m 31! I will be 32 on August 3rd!
What’s your height and weight and clothes size?
I’m 5ft 4″ tall (I used to think I was 5ft 5″ and it turns out I measured wrong, ha ha!). I weigh approximately 145 pounds. My clothes size varies between a UK 8-10 (US 4-6) with a jeans size of around a 28 in premium denim. My shoe size is a 39/40!
What colour are your eyes and natural hair colour?
My eyes are a solid green, and my natural hair colour is dark blonde! Kind of mousy.
Where do you live?
I live in Bath, which is a beautiful historic, countryside city in the South West of England.
What sort of music do you like?
I have a very varied, eclectic taste in music. I love old 80’s rock, I like indie rock, I love country music, some pop music… I couldn’t really pinpoint it to a specific genre. I love Shawn Mendes though!
What movies and TV shows do you like?
I recently got into Seinfeld! I love that! But otherwise I love classic Netflix shows like Stranger Things, Altered Carbon etc. or I adore The Goldbergs, Doctor Who, Friends… And as for movies, my favourites are The Holiday and Captain America. I really do like Letters To Juliet too!
What countries do you want to visit?
Gosh! Number 1 on my list is the United States! And that’s always been a dream of mine that I’m making come true this year! I would also love to visit Germany, Italy again, Spain, Greece, Belgium, Switzerland, Australia… But yeah, definitely the US!
Do you have any tattoos?
Yes! I do! I actually have 3 and I got them all last year in 2019. I have a galaxy diamond on my left wrist, a lioness on my right wrist (I will be getting the male lion on the left to match), and a quote that says ‘open your mind’ above my right elbow crease. Click here to see them all.
What’s your relationship status?
I am currently single. Which I didn’t think I would ever be typing!
Who takes your photos?
Adam still does, we work together as business partners and are still very good friends! My brother sometimes will take a shot for my Instagram too.
What is a go to outfit for you?
Currently in the Summertime it’s a pair of denim shorts, a t-shirt and some sandals or sneakers, or a romper/playsuit/dress with some sneakers or sandals. Then in the Autumn it’s often a leather jacket, skinny jeans, and boots! That’s a classic for me!
Do you follow trends?
Yes and no. That depends entirely on the trend. I usually just like to incorporate specific on trend pieces into my looks, like when the Gucci belt was really popular, or the Alexander McQueen sneakers etc. I don’t really go all out on clothing trends, I just mix and match into my usual style.
What are some of your favourite designer items you own?
My Celine Nano Luggage bags, my LV and Gucci belts, my Louis Vuitton Palm Springs Mini, my Alexander McQueen sneakers, and my Chloe Susanna Boots.
What fashion trend do you see coming? And are there any trends you wish you could pull off but are unsure about?
Everything still seems to be going towards the 90’s with baggy jeans, flares, and long shorts. Which I’m not a fan of. And in regards to trends I wish I could pull off, I do love the cute little bardot style tops with high waisted shorts, but they often don’t fit my figure. I also really like combat boots with dresses, but again, they don’t flatter my figure very nicely.
What was the moment/realization that made you decide that fashion and blogging was your calling in life?
Hmm, I think it was in 2010 when I had been blogging and working for DenimBlog for a couple of years and fell in love with it. Sharing fashion there and working/building relationships with amazing brands was an incredible thing, and from there I started my own blog and my passion for it just grew. I would spend 24/7 on my blog, and I loved every second of it, learning everything as I went. Feeling that drive and hunger for it was how I knew it was my calling for that period of my life. Once you feel that and are really passionate about something, for a long period of time (not just a few weeks) then it’s up to you to take that risk or leap of faith into the unknown and make it work for you!
Are you still as passionate about blogging as you once were?
Truthfully, as I’m always honest, no, I’m not. It doesn’t mean that I don’t love it, because I absolutely do, but the industry has become extremely competitive and it’s harder and harder to keep up. I still love my blog and all of you, and I’m still going to continue blogging here, I’m just looking for a little something more now as well, something to spark that passion back up!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years time?
Very good question! I would hope I would be doing something in the voice over field of work, or acting. That’s something I have wanted to pursue for a long time! I even possibly might be living or working in America too, hopefully! I don’t know! Life always throws you unexpected situations, like I thought my life was set with my career, my relationship etc. and here I am, back at the starting point. I’m just open to embrace whatever comes my way and go from there!
Are there any things you don’t like about yourself?
There used to be! I would hate my knees and certain parts of my body, but not anymore. I embrace everything. The only thing I would say I could do better on with myself is my ability to overthink things and need to know everything, it can become quite tiresome. But it’s an OCD type of trait I have. My anxiety is a lot better these days though!
What do you consider your happy place?
Usually for me, the place that I feel the most serenity, it staring at a sunset while I’m by a field. The countryside summertime evening when I can hear the birds singing and just peaceful calm around me. I can look out at that and just close my eyes and relax. I love it.
What are some of the things you are most proud of achieving?
I’m definitely most proud of what I’ve created as a career. Getting to be in ASOS magazine was amazing! Attending the red carpet for the movie premiere ‘Last Christmas‘ was a huge highlight. Receiving blogging awards and nominations. Getting to design jeans with PAIGE that went on sale. Attending the Firenze4Ever event with Luisaviaroma in Florence, Italy… There’s a few things!
Are you a night owl or a morning person?
I am 100% a night owl! I’m often wide awake until all hours of the night and struggle with the mornings, ha ha. Always been that way!
Do you have any bad habits?
I would say my worst psychical bad habit is biting my nails when I get stressed, and picking my skin. I tend to do that without realising. Other than that, I don’t think so?
What’s one piece of advice you would give yourself when you’re going through tough times?
I’ve been through a lot this year, and as I’ve been honest and open with all of you here, I’ve been through some very dark moments so far and suffered with extreme anxiety, loss, and sadness. It’s tough when you’re in the middle of it to understand that this isn’t permanent, and my mum would even tell me it’s just temporary, which I know and understand, but it’s hard to accept at that point in life. So I would say to myself, go easy on yourself, allow yourself time to process, try to breathe slowly and rationalise with yourself, make time to do self care in the form of showering, sitting outside, eating food (I tend to not eat in times of stress), doing your make-up etc., just anything that can give you some temporary relief, and remember to speak to those who care about you. It really helps to let it out and vent and openly discuss your problems, so it’s not a huge weight on your shoulders. Time is a healer and you will get better and start feeling like yourself again. Lorna xx.

Hi Lorna
Lovely to see you’ve started updating your blog again. I’ve followed your blog and enjoyed your advice and fashion tips for a few years now. However I’m really sorry and surprised you’re single. You seemed like the perfect couple. Whatever the situation, I hope you are ok. No one knows what’s around the corner – this year has taught us that.
I wish you well, the best of good health and that you find the happiness in your personal and professional life you deserve.
Big hugs and love to you

Thank you very much, Russ. I really appreciate your kind comment. I never expected to be single this year either, it’s been absolutely crazy. I can only hope that it gets better.
Hello Lorna I discovered your photos on instagram and I think you are stunning. I didn’t realise until now that you had your own website so this is my first email to you. I have noticed that you live in my home town of Bath. I am a born and bred bathonian but life has taken me to Northampton. I would love to return to Bath but I just couldn’t afford a house there. I really miss the countryside around Bath it is so bland in Northampton. How have you been affected by the lockdown? I look forward to your blogs and emailing you in the future. My name is Peter and I am delighted to meet you.

Hi Peter! It’s nice to meet you online! I’m glad you’ve been a fan and found my blog too! Bath is a beautiful city isn’t it? But yes, so expensive! The lockdown wasn’t too bad here, everyone was very respectful of it. We didn’t have a huge amount of cases. I hope you keep up to date with my blog posts and check out all my previous ones, I’ve had this website since 2010, so there’s a lot of content!
HI is it ok for men to wear ladies panties
Author
Hi, that depends entirely on what you want to do. Anyone can choose to wear whatever they want to, it depends on your own confidence and what you feel like doing!
Hey you. This may all come out wrong as a guy.
I’ve read your very open and honest update. Dark places are lonely places as you have experienced. No words or cliches get you through it, just you in your time and your head space and when you are ready.
You seem to be coming out of it now, but baby steps will win the day. Your goals can and will be achieved. You can do it for you.
Take care and take strength from where you have come from to where you are now.
Good luck you and continue being strong x

Thank you so much, Paul! That’s really kind of you to say those nice things. I am coming out of it, you get good days and bad days, but there’s definitely a lot more good now and I’m much more confident in myself. It’s nice to have all this support from everyone!
So fun to read more about you and I hope your dreams and goals do come true! I think it’s hard to imagine 5 years from now as this year has thrown so much at us all! We never know what’s coming next!
Hope you are having a lovely week! 🙂

Thank you so much, Mica! And you’re so right 🙂
Hello Lorna good at last to get the time to read your Q&A , I all ways though you were tall from your pictures and find out you aims for the future . Once we get back to some kind of normal you will be able to work towards your next goal , has for now take care and see what happens on Saturday .Ian

Ha ha, you thought I was tall? Yeah, I just reach 5ft 4″ on the measure, so I’m far from tall! It’s all about angles. Thank you for the lovely comments though! Just gotta see what happens!
Hi Lorna!
I’m having a catch-up session on your blog, and I was happy to see all the new posts.
I agree, it’s important that we speak truthfully about difficult times in our lives, as well as the good times. Self-care is an absolute must, and is the best habit we can create for ourselves. I see it as being the foundation for everything else.
It’s fantastic that you’re pursuing your passion for acting and voiceover work, alongside blogging.
Lots of love Saba xx

It’s so nice to see you here, catching up, Saba! Genuinely! And yes, self care is so important, yet we’re the first to neglect ourselves in times of stress. I don’t know why we do it!
Hi Lorna
A few days late, but happy birthday!!!! I hope you got everything you wanted and more.
