Little Red Riding Hood Costume For Halloween

Happy Halloween everyone! I decided to redo one of my old Halloween costumes this year, restyling it and re-shooting it to be more current and more spooky with my editing of the photos. As I’m sure you have guessed, I’m Little Red Riding Hood again! This was one of my favourite costumes, ever, that I shot for my annual Halloween costume blog posts, so I couldn’t wait to do it again!

If you check my older post, from 2017, you will see that I wore this Little Red Riding Hood costume with thigh high leather boots and a different basket bag. For this year, 6 years later, I opted for a pair of black tights and my Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels to glam it up a little bit and make Little Red Riding Hood just a touch more classy, cute and elegant.

I had a lot more fun shooting this Little Red Riding Hood costume for Halloween this year and I think that shows in the photos. Usually when I am doing my photoshoot for Halloween, it’s absolutely freezing and I can’t stand the temperatures while posing, but it has been really mild lately and I was comfortable the entire time. Plus, I think it shows that I’ve grown a lot more in confidence over the years when it comes to posing and not being conscious of what other people think of me, ha ha.

I’m happy to report that the Little Red Riding Hood costume still fits me after 6 years, which is good news! When I compare these photos to the older ones though, the only changes I have noticed is that my thighs are probably thicker now and facially I might have aged a little bit? But overall, I don’t think there’s that much difference. It’s always nice to do a comparison though and see how far I’ve come or how much I’ve changed.

I wanted to repeat a costume this year for Halloween purely because I’m trying to be more sustainable and not buy things that I don’t need. I’ve de-cluttered a lot over the last year and I’m trying to keep it this way! Next year I will definitely do a new costume though and I have a year to think about what I will be wearing.
