3 Elegant Custom Charm Bracelets To Gift This Christmas

Christmas is two months away (I can’t believe I’m saying that) and it’s time to start thinking about gift ideas, especially if you like to get something custom and personal. In my opinion, there’s nothing better than receiving a personalised piece of jewellery, and charm bracelets are one of my favourite pieces to receive! The fact that so much thought goes into making them and they’re extremely personal to you, means so much more to me. I’ve compiled three different brands in this list, so there’s something for everyone!

NOMINATION

Nomination is a brand that has really unique custom bracelets! Founded in 1987 in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy, they use a patented spring mechanism that lets you snap, add, or swap individual stainless-steel links decorated with gold, silver, gemstones, and enamel. This is the easiest type of charm bracelet in my opinion as nothing is dangling and they’re easy to swap out. This means you can wear new charms everyday if you wanted to!

Not only can you get personal charm links that say things like daughter, mother, or celebrate milestones in your life, they always do a fun set for Christmastime! I’m currently seeing a little gift wrapped present, a penguin, a candy cane, a snowflake, a reindeer etc. which I think is so fun for gifting! If you know someone that has a Nomination bracelet already, why not gift them a Christmas charm or two? They’re pretty affordable.

If that person is someone special in your life, you could go one further and build the bracelet charms around meanings between you both, or something important to them. ASTRID & MIYU

Astrid & Miyu make Story Chains and they’re made from solid yellow gold or white gold. I have two of these Story Chain bracelets and they’re extremely tiny and dainty, but very personal. I’m not someone that loves anything dangling too much off my wrist – I prefer simplicity – so this is a great charm bracelet idea.

There are so many to choose from, including different fruits (the strawberry is a personal favourite), birthstones, initials, star signs, and lots of different motifs that work. I made one for my engagement with Christen and I chose the birthstone month for the engagement, a lucky star, a heart, a snake (as snakes were involved in the proposal) and a strawberry. The bracelet tells a story, which I think is the idea behind the name Story Chains.

These are pretty expensive (in the hundreds), so if you have more money to spend, it’s a great option! They also have this available in necklaces and anklets. Like I said before, they are very delicate, petite and easy to wear. They’re a great gift! They do take 4 weeks to make though as the charms are welded on, so keep that in mind for ordering.

ABBOTT LYON

Then we have Abbott Lyon. They make really cute charm bracelets too. They’re a little bit bigger than Astrid & Miyu, so if you prefer the more dangly charms, this is the one for you. You can customise your bracelet to have initials, birthstones, star signs, flowers, butterflies etc, but they are a bit more limited on charm options compared to the other two brands.

The Abbott Lyon charm bracelets are made from 925 Sterling Silver, which you can also get gold plated if you prefer yellow gold. They can look extremely demure and elegant as well, making them easy to wear. They also look nice stacked, if you wanted to wear multiple bracelets. But again, this is ideal if you want to gift someone a meaningful bracelet.

So, to round this out, whether you like the simplicity and non dangling aspect of Nomination, and how interchangeable they are, meaning you can change out your charms daily, or you prefer a more classic dangling charm idea from Astrid & Miyu or Abbott Lyon, the choice is yours.
