Love Is From The J Brand Earhart

These photos are pretty crazy, first I was having issues trying to stop the sunlight making circles on the photos and then after that it started raining so there are also rain spots in some of these photos too, ha ha. You have to love English weather. So these photos are not the best but some of them look kind of arty.

I got sent these J Brand Earhart pants from J Brand a couple of weeks ago and I am reviewing them on DenimBlog. I have a feeling that these are going to be a really big trend, just like their Houlihan pants last Summer. These are so soft and comfy!

I’m wearing the J Brand Earhart pants, a H&M white tee, a Topshop yellow cardi, my Topshop Salma black heels and an I Love Cutie Pie Owl clock necklace.

There are 6 days left to enter the ShopAkira contest so you can win $100 to spend on Jeffrey Campbell and other items. It’s such an exciting giveaway! You can enter by clicking here. I also have 2 more great contests planned for March!

Thanks Suzy! I definitely find them not quite as flattering as the Houlihan though, purely because they are not tight fitting but I love them 🙂

Love your yellow cardigan! I so want to love these pants because I love most of what Jbrand creates, but alas, I don’t…they look like a cross between sweats and the old parachute pants of the 80s. No doubt they are comfy but I think they fall into that man-repeller category…women will love them for how they feel but the guys will be waiting for the fad to end! 🙂

PS watch them grow on me as time goes by and I end up owning a pair in 6 mos…haha!

Oh yeah, I’m sure they will be a man repellent but I’m not trying to attract one so that’s fine LOL! I wont wear them often as like I said they are not as flattering as most but they are comfy for casual days 🙂 They don’t stay up on my calves well either, I have small calves so they slip down!

Personally I don’t think most men will hate them, look alright to me. Granted tighter fitting is better, but these are not that bad.

Yes, I’m married so he’s stuck with me no matter what I wear haha! I was wondering about the elastic on the calves, if it would stay put. I don’t have big legs either so I’d probably have the same issue. Enjoy them!

      Thanks Adam 🙂

Jen, yeah, the leg opening on them is pretty big so it does fall down on me when I walk if I have them mid calf, they stay up if they are below my knees but that’s too high up as the fabric bunches lol!

love this look, love these pants!!! Just hope the rain didn’t ruin your gorgeous shoes 🙂

    • February 22, 2011 / 7:24 pm

Hehe, thanks Kerrie! It didn’t, they are pretty rain proof 🙂

I really love the contrasting between the pants and the mustard color of the cardi. It seems much more dressed up than it is and j rally like it. The pants are a really strange mix as Jen pointed out. I think they’re one of those pants that only skinny people should wear LOL!!

    • February 22, 2011 / 7:29 pm

Thanks Sarah! It was actually Adam’s idea to pair it with the yellow cardi lol, I had other ideas. I think he chose well. And yeah, they are an odd mix but I think if you were curvy and you wore them tighter they would look good too 🙂

are they really rainproof? I must be getting myself a pair lol!! I’m forever getting caught out in the horrible rain 🙁

    • February 24, 2011 / 7:03 pm

They are pretty good, the rain kind of rolls off them 🙂 I don’t know about loads of rain though, just light rain 🙂

Thank you so much Lorna, I have been waiting for a review on these! 🙂 I think they look extremely comfy, and perfectly paired with the shoes and that lovely cardigan. Hmmm… to me it sounds very interesting that they are big in the calves! 🙂 But I agree with you, the Houlihans might be a bit more flattering!

    • February 25, 2011 / 11:45 am

Thanks Jenny 🙂 I just posted a proper review on them last night on DenimBlog if you want to read that one 🙂

    Hi Lorna
These look great on you. Can you tell me what colour they are? I can’t work out from the pictures if they’re the Vintage Zuma or the Vintage Pendleton Twill? or something else?
    thanks!

Hi – Can I ask how tall you are? I find the Houlihans just too long to look right on me (5ft 2″) but these look shorter?

    • March 1, 2011 / 10:32 pm

I’m 5ft 5 🙂 The Earhearts are definitely shorter, they are designed to sit mid calf, the Houlihans are full length 🙂
