(Jeans – Similar, Blazer – Similar, Shoes – Similar, Rings – Exact & Similar, Necklace – Similar)
You may remember this floral blazer from Topshop from my outfit post back in January. Usually I love floral prints for the spring or summer time, however the colour palette on this floral jacket is a lot darker with deep reds and purples as the main focal point, teamed with black, which makes it appropriate for the autumn season. I wanted to play with the shades and decided that burgundy and purple would really bring out the tones of the floral jacket, so I went with my 7 For All Mankind Gummy Leggings in Purple and my usual H&M burgundy tank top. Then to tie everything together and give my outfit a pop, I chose my Topshop Mary Jane Saffi heels in Oxblood. You probably remember these shoes from ages ago when I used to have a picture of them in my old banner. I’ve had these shoes for over 2 years now and have always loved them. The initial thing that attracted me to them was the colour, obviously as they are burgundy, but then I really grew to love the mary jane style with the platform heel. They have remained one of my favourite shoes for a long time!
Now for the accessories, I chose my bronze elephant necklace from Urban Outfitters and my Owl ring and Mouse ring from ASOS. I think the gold and black tones of the jewellery really ties in nicely with the colour palette of the outfit. Now on a different note, I’m finally starting to feel better. My voice has returned to normal after having lost it for a while, I was actually sounding like a croaky frog before. I’m still not fully better, everything is still gunky, but thank you to all of you who sent me get well soon messages, that was really kind of you. It’s been pouring with rain mostly all of the time lately, but earlier today there was a dry moment, so I was able to take these photos. Speaking of rain though, since I have been wearing my wellies a lot, I actually purchased a new pair of Hunter wellies which I can’t wait to show you when they arrive. I got the dark ruby gloss boots in the short version, so I’m incredibly excited! Anyway, what do you think of the outfit? Do you like it? Comment and let me know as always!

I like how you brought all those jewel tones into Fall! I’m pretty boring when it comes to color, usually only adding a pop or two to my pretty neutral wardrobe. I’d love this blazer and the oxblood (love oxblood, have a pair of Birkenstocks in that shade…gorgeous!) pumps with some dark or black denim. Those are some awesome staples pieces you have there, Lorna!

Those pants don’t do you justice… Maybe if you’d taken some walking shots instead of static ones the pics might have shown off the real beauty of your posterior!!
Great outfit nonetheless…

I do agree that they don’t have the best fit, but I adore the colour! It’s like a jewel tone purple in real life and is so beautiful!
The colour is great, I agree… and the rest of the outfit.
In general you have very good taste. And I know what I’m talking about, I live in Spain and here, most women know how to dress up! You raise the bar for British standards, I must say (in all aspects).
By the way, I was born in Bath 😉
Author
Thanks! Oh you were? Where were you born here? That’s really cool!
I was born at the Royal United Hospital quite a while ago… 😉 LOL
But sadly I haven’t returned to Bath since the summer of 1994.

That’s where I was born lol 🙂

I know, I get that all the time, it was only a couple of years ago I stopped getting asked why I wasn’t at school. Not many people believe I’m 25 lol 🙂
