Metallic Flowers At My Tea Party

The Metallic Shola Dress from Coast with RAYE Grey Heels

I hope you are all doing really well and have some fun plans ready for the weekend that’s approaching! I’m not going to be up to much, other than just going out for lunch and then trying to take it easy for the rest of the weekend while mixing in a photo shoot here and there. I’m definitely in need of some downtime lately as even doing too much blogging and work from home can put a mental strain on me. I’m keeping really positive though and I’m definitely still happy! I have some amazing things to share with you over the next few weeks though too, I’m excited to be working on the up and coming blog posts!

Getting to my outfit here, I thought it was about time I tapped into my elegant and feminine side. When I saw this gorgeous Coast Metallic Shola Dress on ASOS a few weeks ago, I completely fell in love with it. It’s so different to anything that I have ever worn before and that’s what drew me in. The craftsmanship behind it too is gorgeous, it features a lace top and skirt over the actual dress and that has the metallic flowers embroidered onto it. The back is also cut open and it’s just so unique. I easily fell in love with it! In terms of sizing, I got my usual size small or UK 8 and for me, I can’t wear it with a bra because that makes my already larger chest protrude more and it wouldn’t zip up, so it’s a dress that needs to be worn bra-less I think, but with the high neckline that it has and secure fastenings, there’s absolutely no worry of having any type of wardrobe malfunctions at all.

I paired this gorgeous Coast dress with my RAYE Grey Suede Heels to keep with the colour theme and then I tapped into the copper coloured flowers on the dress and matched my Rebecca Minkoff Leo Clutch in Peach with it. Finally, I finished off with some various bracelets and my Olivia Burton Watch. I think keeping the accessories dainty and minimal was key in making this dress the focal point of the outfit. I truly love it when I come across a tea party or 60’s style dress that’s perfect for spinning around in and this Coast Metallic Shola dress is just that! It flares out in a nice and subtle way while still keeping its shape! I’d absolutely love to know what you think of this dress and the outfit in general as my fashion blog just wouldn’t be the same without your input!

It’s a lovely dress, I like all things with flowers and this dress is super cute and elegant! The shoes together with it, are very beautiful and I think you look exquisite, very classy! It’s true, too much blogging is really tiring from time to time. It starts as “so nice!” and if we kind of “exaggerate” it really can drain us! I hope you relax over the weekend and I am looking forward to the novelties you said you will post about!

Oh, I instantly liked this. It’s beautiful and you look just amazing in it. 🙂

I was getting a sort of futuristic vibe as I looked at these photos. There’s something slightly incongruous about these images – almost as though you’ve been sent back to a pretty little leafy present day village from sometime a couple of decades into the future. Then I reached the end of your article and read that it’s actually 60’s style. Interesting that a 60’s dress looks, to me, futuristic. 😀

Anyway, I really like this look and I love how the flowers catch the sunlight. It’s a wonderful look. 🙂

(I like the tree seat too!)

Thank you so much Steven 🙂 I’m really glad you like it! That is funny that you get a futuristic sense from an old style dress, that’s really interesting!

I just bought this dress for a wedding I’m going to and agree with you that it is gorgeous! I have matched mine to a very light pair of rose gold sandals and clutch bag but after seeing your pictures think I will invest in some grey also 🙂

I meant to say, do agree with you about not wearing a bra. I am rather large busted for being a size 8 but feel secure in the dress.

I thought this was a cropped top and skirt initially. Still, this dress and those heels are lovely. Your face and hair are beautiful. Such angelic beauty you have.

They are ok yeah, depends on the style of it as some aren’t too flattering on me.

Wow Lorna this dress is just beautiful, and you look so elegant and ladylike. It’s pure fashion fantasy! I love the embroidered flowers, as well as the cut and shape of the dress, and you’ve styled it perfectly here. This is ideal for a tea party, as it’s so refined and timeless.

    Wishing you a fab weekend!
