Styling 3 Different Looks For The Holiday Season
Hey everyone! It’s almost Christmas and I’m going big with content this month of December! You might have noticed that I’m posting a lot more and I’m always inspired this time of the year as it’s just so cosy and there’s sales everywhere, so of course I have done some major shopping and took advantage of plenty of the deals around! I love that! I will be sharing more pieces to buy in a wish list soon! Anyway, I’m styling three different looks here and combining them into one blog post. I’ve done a glam going out dress, a flirty and edgy cropped top, and a more casual plaid shacket combination. All are perfect for the Holiday season in my opinion! Take a look at them below!
This outfit above might be my favourite of the three! I paired this Femme Luxe bardot top in black with a pair of black skinny jeans, a western belt, and some chunky Doc Marten boots, to really toughen it up. I love flirty tops like this that are designed to look cute and feminine, but by wearing all black and bringing in some tough combat boots, with a platform to them, you really change the entire concept of the outfit! Feminine pieces with a masculine edge, it really livens things up.
I’m obsessed with these combat boots too, the Dr. Marten Jadon boot is so cool! I’m seeing them a lot on other fashion bloggers and I absolutely love it! They bring such a new life to a pretty outfit like this. Instead of being too cute and elegant, with a summery edge, it’s more appropriate for the darker seasons and not feeling out of place. As much as I would dress this bardot top up with a skirt and sandals in summer, I equally enjoy dressing it down with jeans and boots. How would you wear it?
This would definitely be suitable for going out on New Years Eve! I don’t usually wear bright pink, but there’s something about it that just really pops! This is another Femme Luxe piece and it’s a bodycon dress with ruching, which I think is really pretty! It would look gorgeous with some nude heels, gold jewellery, and finished off with my Valentino Mini Lock bag in Ivory that I chose here! I could see this looking so pretty on so many ladies, especially those who love to wear a bold colour. I would say that it’s more of a fuchsia dress, and it’s stretchy which is perfect for a comfortable bodycon dress. You can’t really go wrong with a dress like this as it mixes comfort and style all in one! Elastic is always my friend when I’m eating out, ha ha. I’m sure it’s the same for most of you too!
The third look consists of a pair of black skinny jeans, a cropped white top, my chunky Doc Martens again, and a Femme Luxe grey plaid shacket! Oversize shirt jackets are super popular at the moment and they really elevate a simple and casual outfit to the next level in my opinion. You can wear them off of the shoulder, or like a normal jacket, and they have a cool appearance. This one in particular is a nice fabric and comfortable, so you can’t really go wrong with it!
I’ve worn different plaid shackets before, as you can see here and here, but this is probably the most appropriate for the warmer days as it’s a little thinner and lightweight. Have you jumped on board this trend at all? Again, it’s always good mixing masculine pieces like this with more feminine fits like a cropped top and a skinny jean, as it brings a whole new element of proportions to play with, and I always enjoy that!
– Which of these three outfits do you like the most? Let me know! Lorna xx.
