Hey everyone! I am so excited that the weather is finally changing, and we’re beginning to see a little autumn crispness coming back into our lives. I’m ready for cosy movie nights, warm knitwear, walks through crunchy leaves, and those beauty nights in doing skincare, nails and more!

Skincare Secrets

While I adore autumn and winter, it’s super important to note that when the weather begins to cool down, we have to start prepping our skin for the harsher weather that’s on the way. That’s why I love my evenings where I take personal care time. They combine everything I love about autumn: warm drinks, cosy vibes, movies and learning skincare secrets. If you’re looking for skincare secrets, let’s talk about how to keep your skin looking fresh and youthful, no matter the weather, using some of the best kinds of face serum out there to fight the visible signs of aging. Here are my top choices!

Serums To Fight The Visible Signs of Aging

Fresh Tea Elixir Resilience Activating Serum

If you want a high-powered bottle of skin happiness, then this Fresh face serum is the one for you. Level up your skin and give it the boost it needs to resist and diminish the signs of aging, reduce visible wrinkles, create a smoother texture, and increase the bounce that makes you look fresh and youthful. Users have reported a 15% decrease in signs of wrinkles, observe a 41% smoother texture, and a 31% stronger skin barrier after just one use! These results are unparalleled.

Fresh has brought their exclusive APT (adaptive phytocompound tea) technology to light in this incredible serum that reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles with just a few drops. That APT technology helps with antioxidant protection; niacinamide helps to reduce the look of your pores; 5kDA hyaluronic acid deeply hydrates your skin (the help with those pesky fine lines), and ceramide III strengthens your moisture barrier to prevent dehydration.

RoC Multi Correxion Revive + Glow Vitamin C Serum

Antioxidants are the ingredient focus of Roc’s award-winning serum. When antioxidants come combined with the skincare powerhouse vitamin C, you can’t go wrong. Since vitamin C can sometimes become a little bit unstable on its own, Roc chose to combine it with caster oil (an emollient) and glycerine. Together, this trio works to brighten up tired-looking winter skin.

Roc reports that when they tested this serum out with their consumers at large, 94% of regular users said that after four weeks, they visibly saw a more even and brighter complexion. Vitamin C is also proven to improve the appearance of coarse wrinkles after prolonged use, so don’t skip this step in your routine! If you are prone to acne though, this might not be the one for you. Vitamin C is known to cause breakouts. It happens to me.

Murad Resurgence Retinol Youth Renewal Serum

Murad really came through with this lightweight serum. They’ve formulated this little gem with two different kinds of retinoids that work in tandem to help improve your skin’s elasticity over time. Tests confirm that the serum visibly firms skin by 24% and delivers on its promise to reduce the appearance of fine lines. The delicious fragrance that the serum carries is an excellent bonus, too! Using this serum, many have noticed that their skin started to look more toned, and their dark spots faded.

Since this serum focuses on retinol treatment, it’s important to remember to use your SPF so that your skin stays protected, even in autumn and winter. Don’t skip this step and only use retinol in the evening/night.

Kate Somerville DermalQuench Liquid Lift + Retinol Advanced Resurfacing Treatment

Now for something a little unusual: a serum dispensed as a foam! I loved this feature because it stood out from all the rest. Patting this foam into your skin not only feels fun, but it also means the product sinks in much faster than many competitors. Testing proves that the Kate Somerville DermalQuench Liquid Lift + Retinol Advanced Resurfacing Treatment shows a UV spot reduction of almost 10%. 76% of users also say they’ve seen a visible reduction in fine and deep wrinkles.

Theraderm OPC Reparative Serum

If your skin is easily irritated like mine can sometimes be, this is an excellent choice due to its soothing properties. Theraderm has a prestigious reputation — and, after reading about this serum, it’s well-earned. Not only does this serum visibly reduce the effects of everyday rosacea (that redness and irritation that occurs and makes skin look inflamed), but it is also so soothing and protective that many users reach for it after dermatologic procedures. Thanks to its lightweight formulation, this serum is excellent for layering between your other skincare for that added protection and calming effect. It remains smooth even when your SPF is patted down over it — which you should be doing even in the cooler months!

Skin Theory Antioxidant Soothing Serum

This Skin Theory Antioxidant Soothing Serum is one I reviewed a few months ago and I was introduced to it after having my glycolic peels. This one is fantastic and it really works well at soothing the skin, calming any irritation, hydrating the skin, and not causing any issues with acne. It smells like citrus and glides on effortlessly. This serum also hydrates and fights signs of aging, which is a much added bonus. The result of this is nourished, calm, hydrated skin that really does feel smooth and not aggravated at all.

It contains Copper Peptides, Beet Root Extract, Ergothioneine and Sodium Hyaluronate as the main ingredients which help in the anti-inflammatory and healing process. Ergothioneine is a free radical scavenger and there’s also lactic acid that will help soften the skin. All of this amazing hydration combats wrinkles and early aging, so I adore this serum!

These serums are tried and tested, and their results speak for themselves, whatever the weather. Now, all that’s left is to try them out and choose which ones you love the most.
